Take a step and I'm on my way,
Gonna start all over again...
Pokemon: Advanced opening

  • Chapter 001:
    • When the world comes apart at the seams, Ash Ketchum is pulled out of time and trained in the use of Aura by the spirit of Sir Aaron, then assigned to go back in time by Arceus and prevent this disaster, revealed to be caused by Cyrus of Team Galactic attempting (for the second time) to remake the world in his image, from coming to pass. Naturally, Ash chooses to be sent back to the day his Pokémon journey started, and so it is done.

    Arc 01: Kanto (chapters 2-36)
I wanna be the very best, like no-one ever was.
To catch them is my real test, to train them is my cause...
Pokemon: Indigo League opening

After the world ended quite by surprise, Ash Ketchum has been sent back in time to the very beginning of his journey with a simple mission - prevent that from happening again.

Naturally, he's also going to go around Kanto solving problems, recruiting Pokémon and challenging the Pokémon League, because it's... sort of what he does at this point.

      • Ash and Misty head for Viridian City, meeting Ho-Oh. Ash acquires a Rainbow Wing, a bag of Sacred Ash, and knowledge of his lineage from Ho-Oh, including the fate of his father. Ho-Oh allows Ash to capture him so he cannot be caught by others.

      • Flygon asks to join the group and decides to join Brock's team after hearing what all of them specialize in - Brock admits his Pokémon specialty should be Rock-types, but really it's being misleading, since he has more Pokémon who use illusions and is also experienced in Pokémon Breeding and being a Pokémon doctor.

      • Unfortunately, as a side-effect of powering up the city, the robots there have gone haywire. While Ash, Max, Tory and Rebecca work to get Deoxys-Green to the attacking one, (which succeeds), the others work to stop them.

      • Mewtwo teleports the shuttle into space.
      • The attacks on the asteroid begin.
      • In Kalos, a Hoopa joins the mission to transport people to the moon.

      • The residents of Charicific Valley head for Mossdeep to help.
      • The first assault team begins to wear out, and will need to rest while a second team takes over.
    • Chapter 189:
      • Mewtwo brings the shuttle back in.
      • Zinnia, a girl with a Salamence, arrives in order to ask Rayquaza to stop the asteroid. She's embarrassed when she realizes he and others have already been working on that very problem.
      • Gary arrives at the space center in Kalos to help out, and winds up joining the group on the moon.
      • N and his Pokémon friends are listening to the others working on stopping the asteroid.
      • The second round is tiring, and are prepared to come back in. They, and Ash, arrive back shortly after the two Deoxys from LaRousse arrive at Mossdeep to help out. Their efforts have shifted the asteroid enough that if it hits, it'll do so in open ocean rather than on land.
      • Brock has an idea: to get Rayquaza a new meteorite, one that can help it Mega Evolve, from a museum. Jirachi wishes them to the locations they need to go.
      • Back on the moon, the dome being set up is very close to being ready.
      • Discussion of what will happen if the asteroid hits the sea occurs. It'll be bad.
      • Suddenly, a very large rainstorm is detected as forming...
    • Chapter 190:
      • Steven, Zinnia and Max continue searching for an appropriate meteorite. They find a handful of small ones that could work, but finally hit upon an idea: using Mr. Stone's device (the one that can send things to a different dimension), they can channel Infinity Energy into a Moon Stone, creating an appropriate meteorite that can let Rayquaza go Mega.
      • The next stage of the plan goes into action, as it requires Ash to stay close enough to Rayquaza to keep him Mega Evolved. However, they need a Pokémon who can teleport in order to get Rayquaza back from space.
      • Ash calls Team Rocket to borrow their Abra. It's revealed they and Giovanni are flying near Stark Mountain, where Giovanni has a base to keep safe during the crisis.
      • Abra arrives, and teleports Rayquaza down. After Ash gives him the meteorite, he Mega Evolves and heads into space, with Ash following him on Mega Latios.
      • Mewtwo and his team manage to get away from the asteroid as Mega Rayquaza streaks toward it, striking it with Dragon Ascent to break it up, then pushes the larger pieces away. Meanwhile, other Legendaries work to stop the portions that have gotten past Rayquaza.
      • The group gets a surprise when it turns out another Deoxys was inside the asteroid, and isn't happy with it being broken up.
      • It's confirmed that the asteroid has been safely dealt with, and the few heat pulses caused in the process were diverted by the thunderstorm that was detected in chapter 189.
      • Mewtwo informs the group that the Deoxys inside the asteroid is not at fault for this - the asteroid was meant to be in a periodic orbit.
      • It's decided that the lunar base being set up is going to help with a skywatch system to prevent further disasters of this type.
  • Hoenn conclusion (chapter 191)
    • Chapter 191:
      • In the aftermath of the asteroid mission, characters recover from it.
      • Official announcements regarding the asteroid are made.
      • Mesprit visits Dawn and thanks her for alerting he and the other Lake Guardians that something was going on. (Turns out they got Kyogre to create the sudden rainstorm that deflected any heat pulses.)
      • On the moon, Cresselia arrives at the moon base and informs them she is not happy to find it's has been set up without her approval, until the people there explain about the asteroid and offer her rent.
      • Ho-Oh learns the details of the space mission from the Legendary Beasts.

    • Chapter 204:

      • Ash and co. arrive at Professor Yung's lab, and Misty joins them shortly afterward.

      • Professor Oak arrives, and the six humans and their Pokémon enter Professor Yung's lab.

      • Mawile and Manaphy, rather than battle, get a cuddly Pokémon to snuggle.
      • The system suddenly locks up, as a mysterious cloaked figure and a variety of Mirage Pokémon arrive.
    • Chapter 214:
      • The cloaked figure is identified as the Mirage Master, who uses his Mirage Pokémon to overwhelm and defeat the majority of the group's Pokémon, and even Ash when one manages to steal his hat, leaving him vulnerable to sleep-inducing moves.
      • Having successfully defeated them all, the Mirage Master demands that the Professor use his scanning equipment on Ash's Pikachu to extract his memories and acquire data on as many Legendary Pokémon as possible. Professor Yung reluctantly agrees to do the scanning.
      • Roland manages to escape via teleportation, and goes to get help.
      • Zorua and Stantler have also escaped, and explore the lower levels of the building, where they find M-001, a Mirage Mew, and ask him for help. M-001 explains that he's a full artificial intelligence designed to operate the Mirage System. He also tells them of the existence of M-002, who is revealed to be the Mirage Master. It's also revealed that the system has made Riolu and Lucario in the past, despite what Yung said.
    • Chapter 215:
      • Back with Ash and co., Mewtwo suddenly arrives, having been alerted by Roland. Yung responds by activating an override, and M-002 attacks Mewtwo. The fight quickly reveals M-002 is actually a Mirage Mewtwo.
      • Professor Oak figures out Yung is the real villain, and Yung admits it. He's really after data, and has faked this attack all so he can get that data. Then, when the Mirage Master attacks elsewhere later on, Yung can use his system to defeat the Mirage Master and will be hailed as a hero.
      • Down below, Zorua and Stantler work with Mew to figure out a plan. They arrive in the lab, where Yung is explaining how he tried to show off his system previously through a press conference, but the system glitched and made him a laughingstock.
      • While Yung is ranting, Zorua gets Dexter and plugs him into the system to try and shut it down. While Yung catches them, Zorua suddenly thinks of a last-minute solution, and has Dexter make the system create a Mirage Riolu. Its generation overrides Yung's control of the system: Riolu and Lucario both have an innate sense of justice, and by making a Mirage Riolu, it gives the Mirage Mewtwo a conscience, causing it to refuse to obey Yung anymore.
      • Misty arrests Professor Yung for his actions.
      • Dexter, having been removed from the system, materializes and is revealed to have evolved into a Porygon2.
      • Mewtwo decides to claim the Mirage System for his own company, since Mirage Pokémon can breathe in space.

      • Ho-Oh arrives on the scene and is annoyed that he missed everything again. Ash apologizes, explaining that this event didn't happen the last time around, so he didn't expect it.
      • Ho-Oh decides to stay with Ash until he's been personally involved in a potentially world-ending event, and asks Entei to handle his duties for the time being. Entei agrees.

  • Movie 10: The Rise of Darkrai (chapter 250)
    • Chapter 250:
      • Ash and Co. fly to Alamos Town. Togekiss uses a hang-gliding apparatus to try and carry Dawn, while Staraptor carries Tyrunt and Mawile uses a homemade glider.
      • After landing, the group heads for the Space-Time Towers. On the way, they release their smaller Pokémon to play in the Pokémon Park, and run into Baron Alberto. He offers to lead them to Tonio's lab.
      • Back in Oak Ranch, Ash's auxiliary roster is preparing to be transported.
      • Ash and Co. arrive in Tonio's lab, where he and Alice are examining some space-time anomalies around town. Dexter manages to call in some of Ash's Pokémon before the anomalies pull Alamos Town into another space and block off access to the rest of the universe.
      • Ash is suddenly put to sleep and meets with Darkrai, who finds that he is a lot more qualified to handle this than he thought.
      • While Brock tallies up who they have available (and Charizard realizes he doesn't have Charla's Charizardite Y with him), Ash wakes up and tells everyone that he met Darkrai. Alberto is about to go off to hunt Darkrai, but Lucario manages to talk him down.
      • The group devises a plan of attack: Ash and his front-liners keep the Space and Time Dragons occupied, Brock and his team handle defense, battlefield support and healing, Dawn, Alberto, and Alice go find and play the Oracion disc, Tonio keeps an eye on the distortion, and everyone else run search and rescue. Alberto suddenly remembers that he may have something that could help.
      • In his mansion, Alberto finds a Charizardite X in his rock collection and gives it to Ash. Dexter alerts everyone that the distortions are increasing, and Palkia emerges into Alamos Town.
      • As the group Mega-Evolve their team, Darkrai tries to put Palkia to sleep with Dark Void, but that weakens the spatial distortions enough for Dialga to emerge into the town as well and trap Darkrai inside a time warp.
      • Mega Latios tries to talk to Dialga, but Palkia wakes up and hits Dialga from behind, starting the battle in earnest.
      • A stray attack causes Tyrunt to evolve into Tyrantrum.
      • Dawn, Alice and Alberto find that that stray attack had damaged the Space-Time Towers and the Oracion disc will not play.
      • Outside the distortion in the real world, Bianca and Mega Latias talk to the local Jenny about what's happening, as well as showing them the actual spatial distortion.
      • Zorua notices that the battle is causing the environment to dissolve, and quickly informs Tonio.
      • Dexter diagnoses that the problem is in the playing mechanism. Everyone starts to look for a way to play the Towers' instruments manually.
      • The front-line team starts to take casualties, and Ash runs to the playing room inside the Space-Time Towers when Pikachu and Mega Latios are knocked out and crash-land there.
      • Dexter gets the idea to interface with the instruments himself and create a hard-light interface for Alice to play.
      • Dialga and Palkia notice Ash giving orders inside the playing room and move to attack him. Ash uses Secret Sword to deflect all their attacks, but notices his sword changing when it's over.
      • The time warp wears off and releases Darkrai, who traps both dragons in Dark Void.
      • With Alice unfamiliar with Dexter's piano interface, Dawn suggests a leaf-whistle interface instead. Alice plays Oracion and awakens the Space-Time Towers, calming Dialga and Palkia, healing all the Pokémon, and restoring the town's time-space.
      • All of Ash's reinforcements, including Mewtwo, Misty, May, Max and the Swords of Justice arrive, and Brock quickly explains everything.
      • Ash and Dawn find that his ceremonial sword has transformed into a Honedge, and contains the soul of a human knight by the name of Kari Burns.
      • Dialga and Palkia help repair Alamos Town, and Brock tells them about Team Galactic and their plans.
      • Alberto offers to let Ash keep the Charizardite X.

      • Max realizes that Damos, despite not being Reminded personally, can still remember Team Galactic because his code came from a Reminded Dexter. Professor Oak makes plans to copy Dexter's code to create more Porygon that are immune to the anti-memory effect, allowing them to create an early-warning system.

      • Ash and Co. arrive in Michina Town, and meet Sheena and Kevin at the Michina Ruins. They fill them in about their time travel and about the previous encounter with Arceus.
      • Noticing time-space distortions around the ruins, Ash calls in the rest of his Pokémon, and Sheena summons Dialga and Palkia. Arceus arrives moments later, and explains that his meeting with Ash and Co. in the past was an important event, and the alterations to the timeline since then has made his history fragile - thus, Ash and Co. must travel to the past and reaffirm the meeting to stabilize the timeline.
      • Dialga sends the group (excluding Kevin) thousands of years into the past. The group devises the plan to free Damos and stop Marcus's plan to trick Arceus, as last time.

      • The dream-Molly and her Entei arrive, the former somehow having memories of Ash and Co. Molly's non-imaginary Eevee shows up, somehow immune to the effects of the changing timeline, and decides to join the group in their attempts.
      • For the third time, Ash and Co. head into the past, save Damos, stop Marcus, and returns the Jewel of Life to Arceus.
      • The group's third return to the past is not successful, as they arrive in a time where Pokémonopolis and Pokéatlantis are warring to the present day with giant Pokémon.
      • Isolating the group, Dialga tests the mutability of the timeline by throwing gusts of wind into the past, but his attempts only result in timelines where the Shamouti storm isn't stopped, where Mewtwo's genocidal plan was successful, a random ice age, where the Primals are still warring, and where the Alamos universal collapse was total.
    • Chapter 287:

      • Dawn requests that the group gets some food and sleep and properly plan before they return to the past.
      • The next day, Dialga sends everyone to the past for the fourth time, with the intent to both remove the controlling armor from his Pokémon forces and talk Marcus down without fighting.
      • Brock finds Marcus first, who sends his Heatran after him. Brock manages to lead him outside where Mega Steelix stalls him long enough for Ninetales to remove his armor.
      • Sheena frees Damos, and the two combine their abilities to touch the hearts of Pokémon, to convince Marcus's Pokémon army to disarm themselves.
      • Ash confronts Marcus and tries to convince him of his errors, while his Pokémon try to divest Marcus's Bronzong of its armor.
      • Though they successfully disarm Bronzong, the scuffle leaves the mountain around them unstable, and Pikachu blasts the mountainside apart while Ash saves Marcus.
      • Humbled, Marcus gives the Jewel of Life back to Damos, who subsequently returns it to Arceus with no fuss.
      • While they are in the past, Celebi borrows Ash's Charizard for a quick errand, getting him to teach Blast Burn to some ancient Charizard.
