Roger and Steve try to save a dying mall, while the rest of the family opens up a food truck.

Tropes related to You Are Here:

  • Affably Evil: For a soul-stealing warlock, Mr. Javitz is quite a friendly chap.
  • And I Must Scream: Mr. Javitz's victims basically become trapped in the mall and slowly fed upon until they're turned into mannequins.
  • Crazy Jealous Guy: Roger acts this way towards Steve when Mr. Javitz starts taking an interest in him, even though Steve doesn't want to be Javitz's minion.
  • Dead All Along: LaFrantz appears at the end of the episode to explain who was a ghost at the mall. Among them was Tuttle.
  • Leaning on the Fourth Wall: After LaFrantz explains the plan to defeat Mr. Javitz, Steve says that he understands, but if "someone was high in their dorm room," they'd need to get a splash of water and then rewind what they just said.
  • Love Martyr: Roger acts this way towards Mr. Javitz, behaving more like a spurned/abused partner than a minion when Javitz starts taking an interest in Steve. He even gets a musical number about it.
Roger: You know, a lot of my girlfriends ask me what I see in you, Mr. J. Why I stick by you when you treat me like this. And I say, "listen girls, he's hypnotized me with his glowing red eyes."
  • The Mall: Most of the episode takes place in the Lanceton Fashion Plaza, a crappy, run-down mall that Roger is nevertheless dedicated to maintaining.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Mr. Javitz has glowing red eyes, which are the source of his Mind Control powers. He successfully roped Roger into his schemes by getting him to look in them, and he tries to do the same to Steve.
  • Real After All: Subverted. It's not argued that Mr. Javitz doesn't exist, but that he abandoned the mall decades ago and isn't coming back. Steve is horrified when Javitz finally reveals himself as an undead sorcerer Roger's become enthralled towards.
  • The Reveal: Several.
    • Mr. Javitz, Roger's mysterious, conspicuously-absent boss, is a warlock. Roger works for him because of a powerful Mind Control (from Javitz's "glowing red eyes"), and his mission is to feed souls to the mall fountain, which he must do every twenty-five years.
    • All the shop owners that Steve encounters are souls who have been trapped in the mall, who try to scare living patrons away by running terrible businesses. When their souls have been trapped for long enough, they turn into mannequins.
  • Shout-Out: At one point, Roger refers to Mr. Javitz as "Mr. J", much like how another lovelorn minion refers to their boss.
