A month after his shooting, Spencer is eager for a return to football, but his doctor advises him not to rush things out and instead let his body recover. He is particularly uneasy because all colleges which up until then were interested in recruiting him are putting their offers on hold. Meanwhile, Coop avoids both music and Spencer, feeling guilty of her role in Tyrone's attack on him, while Asher is secretly using steroids to improve his performance.
