Finn and Jake come across a magic wand, but when the wand becomes uncontrollable, they must team up with the Ice King to stop it.
Tropes:
- Book Ends: When first using the wand, it turns Jake's foot into a bird that tweets stars. After Ice King destroys it, his face turns into the same thing.
- Diabolus ex Nihilo: While he and Finn are looking up at the sky and appreciating the clouds, Jake suddenly realizes he's lying on top of a wand, thus kicking off the plot. Whose wand it is, where it came from, and how the hell Jake didn't notice it before is never explained.
- Evil Is Petty: The Ice King is first seen using a magnifying glass on a massive ant.
- Heroic Sacrifice: Parodied. Finn's plan to stop the wand boils down to him and Jake distracting it while the Ice King "sacrifices" himself to stop it. The Ice King survives, albeit with his face a bird.
- I Shall Taunt You: Finn and Jake try to distract the wand by insulting it. Finn's "insult" is poorly made; "Hey wand! I heard you... pay a robot... to rub your tummy for you!" It still pisses the wand enough for its magic to merge into one monster and try and kill them for it.
