Basic Trope: Someone who is a bane to technology.
- Straight: Fritz causes every electronic devices he touches to malfunction.
- Exaggerated: Any electronic device that comes within a 5 meter radius to Fritz immediately explodes.
- Downplayed: Fritz tends to wear out his laptop and phones twice faster than its supposed warranty.
- Justified:
- Fritz is careless and impatient and frequently manhandles his devices whenever they don't operate as he wants it to (even when what he expects the device to do completely goes against its basic function), causing them to break.
- Fritz has the power to generate electrical currents, which he can't control. His powers causes him to overcharge the electrical devices he touches, or otherwise messes with its circuit.
- Fritz is a colossal idiot who handles his devices in utterly destructive ways.
- Fritz runs his devices extremely hard and does not bother to properly maintain them.
- Fritz has no idea how to actually use the device and resorts to Button Mashing or Percussive Maintenance until he gets it to do what he wants.
- Inverted: Fritz kicks a broken computer. It suddenly becomes as good as new.
- Subverted: Fritz tries to turn on a computer and causes it to explode. Turns out the computer has been overheated before Fritz even touched it, and it would have exploded regardless of who turned it on.
- Double Subverted: Fritz buys a new computer, and the same thing happens. This time, it's clearly his fault.
- Parodied: Otherwise non-sentient electronic devices run away while screaming in terror whenever Fritz tries to use them.
- Zig Zagged: Fritz destroys a modern computer just by using it, but he can use an old tube radio just fine.
- Averted: Fritz handles technology just fine.

- Lampshaded: "Don't lend your phone to Fritz unless you're planning to buy a new one soon."
- Invoked: After boasting that Muggles Do It Better thanks to their awesome tech, a wizard curses Fritz so that he is unable to use technology.

- Eric the tech expert follows Fritz around, as the inevitable breakage that Fritz causes would give him plenty of jobs.

- Fritz wears gloves to prevent his powers from frying the electronics he touches.
