  • Basic Trope: A Murphy's Bed or wall bed causes Amusing Injuries.
  • Straight: Bob gets crushed by a wall bed, and becomes an Accordion Man.
  • Exaggerated: Bob is Squashed Flat.
  • Downplayed: Bob simply falls down and rubs his head upon getting out from under the bed.
  • Justified: Bob did not know the bed was there.
  • Inverted: Bob is stuck under his wall bed. Alice puts it back, freeing him.
  • Subverted: Bob sees the wall bed coming down and quickly jumps away from it.
  • Double Subverted: He didn't jump far way enough to dodge it.
  • Parodied: Bob simply mutters "Not again..." every time this happens to him.
    • Alice repeatedly crushes Bob by deploying the bed and putting it back as a form of Percussive Therapy.
  • Zig-Zagged:
  • Averted: Bob does not get crushed by the bed.
  • Enforced: To show that these beds can be dangerous to an unaware person.
  • Lampshaded:
    Alice: Bob, I wouldn't stand there if I were you.
    Bob: What are you talking abo- YEEEEEARGH!
  • Invoked: Bob stands where the bed is located.
  • Exploited: Bob is a serial killer. Alice deploys the bed at the perfect time to crush him, giving her enough time to call the police while he tries to escape.
  • Defied: Bob steers clear of any walls to ensure he doesn't get squashed.
  • Discussed:
  • Conversed: "That's gonna hurt in the morning."
  • Deconstructed: Bob is knocked unconscious from a blow to the head.
  • Reconstructed:
  • Played For Laughs: Bob gets smashed through the floor upon getting crushed.
  • Played For Drama: Bob suffers a severe head trauma and dies. Cut to a Courtroom Episode where Alice's lawyer must convince the jury that it was an accident.
