- Ruby's horns, scales, teeth and claws are crystal.
- Ruby's entire body is made of gems.
- Downplayed: Ruby has a tiny crystal scale.
- Justified: This is a result of her diet, which consists largely of gems and minerals.
- Inverted: An Eldritch Location has clusters of flesh and bone growing out of the rocks.
- Subverted: The horns are prosthetics, because she lost her real ones in battle.
- Double Subverted: Her real horns were also crystalline.
- Parodied: ???
- Zig Zagged: Ruby's crystal horns are prosthetics, but it turns out her real ones were also gems. She finds a healer who makes them grow back, although the new ones are bony rather than crystalline. However, they turn into gems over time.
- Averted: Ruby doesn't have gems on her body.

- Invoked: Ruby has gem scales magically fused to her body to strengthen her defenses.
- Defied: Ruby breaks her horns off because she doesn't want to be hunted for them.
