  • Soo-Won's coup: In the middle of the night he kills his pacifist uncle, and was willing to kill his best friend and younger cousin.
  • Shin-Ah's power is shown as a black dragon eating the parts of the victim it paralyzes. It also seems to be addicting to use.
  • Hak's Uncontrollable Rage upon seeing Suwon for the first time since chapter 1. The cold, murderous rage on his face as he wordlessly beats each of Suwon's guards and even Ju-Do to get to his target is nothing less than terrifying. He even starts hitting Jaeha and Kija when they attempt to restrain him. The scene also crosses into Tearjerker territory, as it's clearly only happening because he had so much rage and pain bottled up.
  • Jaeha's past counts, and probably crosses into Tear Jerker territory. He was chained up for most of his childhood, and wasn't even allowed to go outside. He was also obviously abused by his predecessor. During a psychotic fit, Garou woke him up in the middle of the night and proceeded to beat Jaeha until he was bruised and bloody. Even worse? Jaeha was twelve at the time and acted like it was perfectly normal.
  • Chapter 101: The image of Zeno getting hacked to pieces and his body parts slowly reattaching themselves to his body was terrifying. Actually, anytime Zeno's immortality comes into play things become very graphic.
    • Special mention must go to the time he was burned alive, regenerating too slowly to for his invulnerability to kick in and too quickly for normal human defense mechanisms like fainting from the pain to kick in.
  • Chapter 132: Mizari's utterly psychotic expression when he attacks Zeno in an attempt to prove Zeno's immortal to his coworker.
  • What Yu-Hon did that makes Princess Kouren believe war with Kouka is the better option; he deposited the heads of prisoners who had be promised to be returned safely at the Xing castle gates.
  • Mizari as a whole, given his empty stare, tendency to smile gleefully while fighting and overall sadistic mannerisms. The fact that he's so young doesn't help either.
  • Mizari for suggesting ''eating'' the blood and flesh of the dragons to gain their powers.
  • When Princess Kouren gives Yona her ultimatum of stopping the war with Su-won or she'll kill her hostages, she makes sure to specify that the immortal man, Zeno, will be tortured instead.
  • Zeno is absolutely positive you can't gain his powers by drinking his blood or eating his flesh. He knows because it's been tried.
  • After escaping the Xing prison, Shin-ah doesn't hesitate to use his eyes, showing lovely sights like a shadowy dragon ripping a man's head off.
  • The sheer rage on the four dragon's faces when Yona is nearly shot by Gobi's flunkies. It's not too out of place on Shin-ah, or even Kija and Jaeha, but on Zeno, it's out-of-place and terrifying.
  • Hak's thought's as he tries to pull the dragons to safety without attacking the Xingese soldiers. All he can think about is how much he hates them and wants to kill them and everyone who's ever hurt him and his companions.
  • The Fire Tribe citizens for their fanaticism for Hiryuu and the Four Dragons. Not only do they try to pull Yona out of the window of her room while she's staying at Tae-jun's manor, but when Kija defends her with his claw, they quite creepily stroke his arm.
  • The imagery of Hak fighting his way through the Tully forces is nothing short of nightmare-inducing. He's covered in blood, much of which is his own, swinging blindly at anything that moves because the blood loss has left him delirious.
