• Seo Seol tells Hui-jae about the pasts of some of the women in Ihwaru.
  Seol: Ga-hwa's little sister was found dead without her liver. Her owner with leprosy ate her liver. Hwa-wol? She was sold to a seventy-year-old man for just ten mal of rice when she was only twelve.
• Hwi and Seon-ho's fight in episode two. Seon-ho is badly injured and Hwi wants to stop the fight, but Seon-ho insists on continuing until he collapses. Then, when Hwi is about to be declared the winner, Seon-ho gets up and hits him again.
• Hwi and Seon-ho watch as Jung Sa-jeong kicks a man repeatedly while the passers-by are too afraid to intervene, and Hwi says that Jung rapes women for fun.
• Seong-gye fires an arrow at Bang-won's head. It comes so close to hitting him that it knocks off his headpiece.
