Literature / The Writing In The Stone

Go To

A novel by Irving Finkel, The Writing in the Stone details the events surrounding a stone with curious cuneiform writing on it.

Trope examples:

  • Artifact of Death: A Double Subversion, in that the stone doesn't seem to have any meaningful writing on it, but everyone that comes in contact with it apart from the king gets killed, usually by the First Exorcist or his partner, the Cook. Except for the fact that there's a cave full of indecypherable cuneiform writing, and it's guarded by a real dragon.

How well does it match the trope?
