The Angel Club is a currently Work In Progress novel being written by War Jay 77.

Four recent highschool graduates are off to college. But in this peaceful university town, things are not quite as they seem. Other students act strangely, everything is decorated in bright colors, and all signs seem to be pointing to the school's "Angel Club"- an innocent seeming group focused on doing good deeds and helping people in their community.

As they dig for clues, it soon turns out they've learned more than they've bargained for. They end up with a choice- either help bring down the cult taking over the city, or submit to them.

The Angel Club is currently available for reading on Wattpad.

This book provides examples of:

  • Abusive Parents:
    • Ben's stepfather (and, by extension, Taylor's father), is emotionally abusive, Erica's parents were harshly restrictive and kicked her out of the house after she decided to go college with her friends instead of go to MIT, and Jade's parents weren't necessarily abusive, but she suffered from Middle Child Syndrome and was often at least neglected.
    • Casper doesn't get off, either. While his adopted parents were perfectly nice, normal parents, his real father is Booker Blackstone, leader of the Angel Club, who sees Casper as the enemy due to his status as a goth.
  • Church of Happyology: The Angel Club itself is a cover for a cult worshipping a god of light.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: Ben and Erica discover secret messages in frames of YouTube videos.
  • Light Is Not Good: Members of the Angel Club, if fully indoctrinated, believe in a god of light. This means anything related to darkness and nighttime is a sin, and anyone who doesn't conform will be tormented and manipulated until they do.
