Tropes:
- Covers Always Lie: The cover is based off the Netflix poster for the show, which features Jet and Faye despite them not appearing in the book.
- Disproportionate Retribution:
- A drunken man shoves Vicious and pees on his shoe in the bathroom, so Vicious drags him into the alley and breaks his neck.
- Said drunken man is revealed to be a member of the Europan Crew. His brother, a Capo, launches a massive mob war, until the Red Dragon surrenders Vicious to them.
- Internal Reveal: The fact that Vicious' father Caliban is a Red Dragon elder is a shocking reveal to Vicious and Fearless, but known to anyone who watched the last two episodes of the show.
- Only Known by Their Nickname: Fearless and Vicious have no names, do to being orphans raised in a fighting pit. Fearless' alias Spike Spiegel has currently not been established.
- Would Hurt a Child: Caliban has orphaned boys fight in underground fighting pits, sometimes to the death, with the threat of throwing them out to the streets to keep them in line.
