  • Near the beginning, after fighting Addam and Mythra, Lora asks Addam if he's going to take Jin away from her since Jin's core crystal was a stolen treasure. Addam says that he could.... but instead, he offers Lora to join him, even coming up with a cover story for why she's Jin's driver so nobody will blame her for the theft. And he does this totally unprompted - Addam's just that kind of guy.
  • Addam gives a different and intriguing perspective on the issue of Blades losing their memories. He notes that even though the memories become "lost", the Blade's nature, or rather their feelings, do change and grow with each incarnation thanks to their experiences (so that in that sense at least their "memories" are not lost), with the result being that a Blade becomes more and more human in nature with each life. This is a Call-Forward to the reveal in the main game about how Blades (and Titans) were intended to evolve as a progressive reflection/counterpart of humanity. Also serves as Fridge Horror when one realizes that Amalthus basically kept this from happening to a majority of Blades for five hundred years by taking their data/experiences via his core cleansing procedure.
  • Early in the game, a monster that is giving the group a hard time sets its sights on Milton and Mikhail. When it charges at them, Milton shields Mikhail with his own body to protect him. Likewise, Adam sees the boys in trouble and rushes to shield them too.
  • When Minoth first meets Mythra she soundly proclaims her lack of interest in the world and its people, claiming she only stays with Addam because he awakened her. Rather than get upset, Addam defuses things by defending her good heart underneath the attitude. Milton in turn gets her to chase after him by teasing her, showing she's really Not So Above It All as she claims.
  • When discussing the eventual fate of Blades, Jin replies, "I don't wish for 'forever'. All I want is my life with her (Lora). That's plenty".
  • In a camp talk, Haze talks about going shopping with Lora. After Jin comments that Haze is the one who gets to do things like that with Lora, Haze invites Jin to come with them. It goes to show how close the three of them were, even on a day-to-day basis.
  • When the group stays and rests in a small village, Lora is with Milton and Mikhail and trying to bond with Mikhail. Mikhail is quiet but Milton assures her that he is happy, Mikhail's embarrassed reaction supports this. While they've only known each other for a short time, it's sweet that Milton can already pick up on Mikhail's emotions.
  • Lora's knighthood ceremony. After spending years struggling to make a living for herself and doing mercenary work, it's heartwarming to see her efforts rewarded. Additionally, talking to NPCs after Lora's knighting shows many of the townfolk speaking highly of her.
  • Freja is the most minor of characters through most of the game, being a sickly and frail little girl in Auresco with little interactions with the other characters. She's so sick that it's questionable if she'd survive leaving her home long enough to wait out an attack on the capital in a shelter located just down the street. This leads to the final sidequest Community Spirit, where just about every character featured in a quest so far takes part in getting a miracle cure that allows Freja to get up and walk again. It's the perfect capper of all the questing and community building in the game. Except that in some quest routes, she goes to the nearby shelter instead of one of the evacuation ships.
  • Its easy to miss amidst all the trauma and destruction that occurs before and after it, but Mythra's vision of Rex includes a heartwarming moment concerning what seems to be something from after the main game ends. Indications for this are that Rex is without the core crystal in his chest, and the scene is not present in the main game (and all the scenes before it occurred in chronological order). It features Rex apparently back at his salvaging job, turning toward the viewer (presumably Mythra and/or Pyra) and giving them a happy, even loving, smile.
