Trivia / Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country

Go To

  • Acting for Two: Just as in the base game, Saori Hayami voices both Lora and her blade Haze in the Japanese version, with the two having many conversations with each other here. Lampshaded in the fact that the characters are noted to have similar appearances, as an example of how a Driver's nature can manifest in a Blade.
  • Creator-Driven Successor: Episode 4 of Xenogears Perfect Works, which corresponds to the time of Lacan and Sophia and the Shevat-Solaris conflict, was originally planned to be an entire story told in full until various corporate issues as well as Monolith Soft's departure from Square. Torna ~ The Golden Country, which relates to the rest of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 the same way as Episode 4 corresponds to the rest of Xenogears, is essentially a cross-company telling of that story in full.
  • What Could Have Been: Torna was initially intended to be a flashback chapter within the base game of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 between Chapters 7 and 8. Eventually, the developers realized the scope of the story required it to be its own standalone DLC.
