- Though the flashbacks of Twilight and Celestia also count as tearjerkers, they still highlight the loving relationship they had.
- It turns out that the reason Twilight loves Star Swirl the Bearded so much is because when Twilight first moved into the castle as a filly, Celestia picked out a book from the library for her that happened to be about Star Swirl. Twilight also continued to treasure the book years later because it was the first gift Celestia ever gave her.
- Luna proclaims that while Celestia saw Twilight as a daughter, she saw her as a sister for everything she did for her once she returned.
Aftermath of a Fallen Star
- Rainbow Dash eventually overcomes her alcoholism she gained from her guilt from the last thing she ever said to Twilight telling her she hates her and finally becomes a Wonderbolt.
- Learning of Flash Sentry and Twilight's Secret Relationship. It is clear that the two loved each other very much, with Flash recounting memories of them like their First Kiss and the time they first made love after he vowed to protect her. Flash was also planning to ask Twilight to marry him, but was sadly unable to due to her death. Though in a bittersweet way, Flash's suicide is in hopes that he can be with Twilight again and asks to be buried with the engagement ring he bought.
- Later in Shining Armor's chapter, he admits that after learning how Flash kept Twilight sane for the whole year they were together, he would have happily welcomed Flash as his brother-in-law and hopes he and Twilight are together again.
- Stag the Changeling might be a torturer, but the one redeeming quality that ultimately makes him a good person at heart is that he hates it when others harm children or so much as plan to harm them.
- Peewee can feel Spike's pain from his depression after Twilight dies. When Spike runs away from Equestria, Peewee leaves his nest to track Spike down and comfort him, just to show him that he is not alone.
