• In ''The Well of Ascension'', TenSoon tells Vin that kandra will never be accepted into human society. Here, not only can kandra spend most of their time walking among humans without trouble, but they are revered as angel-like "Faceless Immortals." The people know exactly what the kandra are, but they revere them anyway. Being basically angels of Harmony probably helps. Though many people will be squicked should they see a kandra actually do kandra things, it's a kind of reverent squick.
