• For all it's a pretty cynical and grim game, the closing lines are unbelievably sweet. Wrapping up his interview with Ogawa, Jack is asked if all successes were also predetermined, or if he really believes time can be changed if you try hard enough; a jump cut back to his revisit to the University reveals that while Jack didn't unfreeze Beth for a real goodbye, Jack approaches her and whispers "I'll come back for you."
