Even with all the horror that's encountered through out the factory, there's still a few heartwarming moments from Poppy Playtime.
- Kissy Missy's introduction. After a brief scare where her silhouette looks like Huggy and a loud door alarm goes off, a sweet piano playing her theme comes on and she looks at the player with curiosity. She pulls the lever to open the door (with a cute minor struggle at first), establishing herself as different from many of the other toys.
- Although Poppy has slightly questionable actions, she keeps the player within the factory to help bury the past and set the victims free.
- A small one, but a cleaned-up image of the Smiling Critters looking at CatNap in the doorway from the cartoon reveals a picture on the wall of DogDay giving CatNap a hug. CatNap even has a much less creepy grin on his face in the picture!
- Strangely enough, the Prototype's relationship with Theodore Grambell, who became CatNap. While the Prototype uses the young boy to collect information and plan an escape, when Theo is badly injured in the attempt, the Prototype gives up its chance to escape and takes Theo to the counselors where they can call for medical attention.
- After making it out of Home Sweet Home, the player gets unexpectedly jumped and tossed to the ground by Kissy Missy. Poppy immediately steps in to assure her that the player is on their side.
- In the orphanage, a hidden message reads "A Clap and a Half... We'll Miss You"; referencing Game Theory's host Matthew "MatPat" Patrick, who announced his retirement shortly before Chapter 3's release.
- The Mob Entertainment music video for CG5's song "Sleep Well" has a moment where CatNap is shown scratching a recreation of his drawing of himself with the Prototype from before his accident into the floorboards, his actions and body language clearly showing he misses being human. The Prototype's arm comes out of the shadows and puts a comforting hand on his shoulder.
- CatNap's first recruit was a lonely and upset looking Hoppy Hopscotch mini critter. CatNap offers it a paw of friendship, and it accepts.
