- Yuugi and Izuku's first meeting in the park as they genuinely enjoy playing with each other and aren't bothered at all by their respective autism or Quirklessness.
- In the end of Chapter 1, Yuugi cheers up a tearful Izuku by telling him the five words that would inspire new hope in him.Yuugi: "You can be a hero, Izuku."
- Sugoroku being the textbook definition of a perfect guardian to Yuugi and how he helps him with his autism. Along with treating his grandson with the upmost love and respect, he also uses effective strategies to help him whenever he has an emotional breakdown.
- After it's revealed that Chono-sensei was purposefully failing his grandson and how he didn't say anything, Sugoroku holds back his temper and explains to Yuugi why it's important for him to speak up when he knows something is wrong. He does this as the two of them calm down while watching an anime based on card games.
- The grumpy Tanaka-ba giving Yuugi a hug of relief after learning that he survived the tainted vaccine epidemic.
- The tearful reunion of Yuugi and Izuku after their Plot-Mandated Friendship Failure along with both of them surviving the tainted vaccine. Even knowing the risk of reminding his friend about Bakugou being a bully, Yuugi doesn't care and openly reminds Izuku that he deserves better.
- Despite his annoyance over Yuugi following him everywhere, Jounouchi beats up two classmates who tried to force him into having a sensory meltdown. He even helps the poor boy walk home per order of his grandfather.
- After Yami's emergence, Yuugi is worried that Izuku would hate him for having a Quirk he doesn't want. What follows is Izuku sending him texts saying that he'd never hate him or want to stop being friends with him for something like that.
- While Jounouchi fears losing his friendships with Yuugi and Izuku after the Hirutani-Stain nightmare, Tanaka-ba assures him that neither of the boys would think of abandoning him for what Hirutani did. She also reveals that she can use her connections to secure him a recommendation at Yuuei so he can still be friends with them.Tanaka-ba: "If Yuugi ever gets around to holding a grudge against you, it’ll be over something even stupider than your former childhood best friend trying to hire Hero Killer Stain to murder both of you.” [...] “You’re not alone, you little shit. Let other people help you.”
- Yuugi having a light-hearted discussion with his old friend Seto over the shield barrier he created. It's even mentioned that Seto was smiling for a brief moment.
- The last scene of Book 1 ends with Yuugi going into the mindscape to comfort Yami who was upset that he failed to protect his other self from Stain.
