Heartwarming / Invasion! (2016)

    The Flash
  • While Cisco is still pissed from the revelations of the previous episode, Oliver is instantly understanding of and comforting towards Barry, saying he would do anything to have his old life back.note
    • It's even more heartwarming to hear that Oliver is willing to tell Barry what happened to his father and his mother, considering how guarded he usually is. Additionally, given that Oliver is often Mr. Broody It's All My Fault whenever he makes a mistake, seeing him tell Barry that it's not all his fault is a really nice piece of Character Development.
    • Kara is the same, telling Barry she'll always trust him. While it takes a bit longer, everyone else eventually forgives Barry too.
    • Professor Stein also doesn't judge or criticize him for it, admitting he would probably do the same thing.
  • On the other hand, in a way Sara's response to Barry is just as heartwarming. She says she would also do anything to have Laurel back, but she doesn't – it takes all her willpower not to change the past, but she knows that it's her duty not to, and she won't put her own feelings before the rest of the world.
    • Though one could easily call her a hypocrite considering the number of times she has tried to change the past. It was only after the others talked her out of it, and even so, she may have inadvertently altered history by revealing Darhk's fate to him.
  • Caitlin confides to Dr. Stein her fears of Killer Frost taking permanent control of her and Stein assures her that her friends and family will never abandon her.
Caitlin: What if she comes back and I can't keep her out? Then what?
Dr. Stein: We'll all be there for you.
  • Martin finally meets the woman from his memory flashes. It's his daughter. It's unclear whether this is a result of the many times Stein's timeline has been altered by the Legends' adventures, or if it's finally a positive effect of Flashpoint, but either way there's no doubt this new Stein loves her dad dearly and, the smile on his face when he gets a clearer memory flash when they meet, Martin loves her just as much.
  • After the Legends and Diggle decide they can't trust Barry, Oliver gives them all a disgusted rant at their judgemental behaviour.
Oliver: Guys, this is— HEY! This is crazy! Everyone is going including Barry! (Beat) I'm not going without him.
  • When Barry asks Ray where Snart is, Ray tells him about his Heroic Sacrifice in the first season finale of Legends. Barry is pleased to hear this and that what he was right about Snart all along.

    Arrow
  • The scene between Thea and Malcolm as it shows us what Malcolm would be like if Rebecca was never killed - a genuinely good businessman without an ounce of hate in him, proud of his son for becoming a doctor like his wife and seems to see Thea as a surrogate daughter even though in this word she's presumably Robert's child.
  • As Oliver is about to exit the hallucination, several characters including his parents, Tommy, Roy, Felicity, and Laurel appear. Most thank him for what he has done, or how much of a hero he's become. But his father reminds him ultimately of why he can't stay in the perfect world. It's his responsibility to take care of Star City.

    Legends of Tomorrow
  • When it is revealed that the reason the Dominators are attacking Earth is because of Barry creating Flashpoint and will cease their attack if Barry gives himself up he is immediately ready to do it. When Oliver tells him that he's not letting him leave Barry ask Oliver "You and What Army?". Barry looks back and sees everyone – including his former enemy Mick, and Cisco, who finally forgives Barry and reaffirms their friendship.
Cisco: You're not a hero to me...You're my friend.
  • After the Dominators have been driven off, the new President of the United States congratulates the heroes of the Arrowverse for their brave and selfless efforts – specifically, she thanks all heroes, "Human or metahuman, mask or no mask". To finally see all of the heroes get this well deserved praise after everything that they sacrificed and lost since they began their careers is incredibly heartwarming.
  • Before leaving Kara, Oliver, and Barry (the Big Three of the Arrowverse) engage in a group hug with Oliver being less reluctant than before when Barry offered it last season—in fact, he's actually smiling.
  • Stein, after finally getting to know his daughter created from the aberration he made when he told his younger self to spend more time with Clarissa, tells Jax and begs him not to tell the rest of the team as he loves his daughter too much to lose her.
  • At the very end, Barry and Oliver decide to go to a bar together so they can finally hang out with each other without having to deal with some superhero crisis.
