    S 1 E 1 - The End
  • Cooper is a down-on-his-luck former movie star stuck performing at birthday parties to make ends meet. But he brings his daughter as part of his act, and the last thing he does before the bombs fall is get her a slice of cake.
  • The moment where Lucy puts on the Vault wedding dress is surprisingly poignant, especially the part where she signs her name on the inside of the strap under everyone else's.
  • Lucy letting down her cousin, Chet, gently when he tries to sabotage (or at least postpone) her wedding, because he loves her after they had a sexual relationship growing up. She explains that it has nothing to do with who he is as a person, but just that them being cousins makes a long-term relationship impossible. This makes Chet agree with her.
  • Steph, Lucy's friend, is visibly pregnant, and tells her that she's looking forward to raising their kids together.
  • In his speech at the wedding, Lucy's father proudly says that whenever he looks at his daughter, he has hope for the future.
  • Chet attempts to come with Lucy to help her find her father, but because she doesn't want him hurt on her behalf, she sneakily tranquilizes him. His reaction before passing out implies he understands she's doing it to protect him.

    S 1 E 2 - The Target
  • The montage of CX404-slash-Dogmeat growing up under the care of Doctor Wilzig. From saving her from being incinerated by falsifying her documents, to his efforts to train her normally with a teddy bear, its clear he has tremendous fondness for her.

    S 1 E 4 - The Ghouls
  • The Ghoul Mercy Killing his ghoul friend Roger, who is turning feral. Before doing it, he brings up how good food used to taste, and Roger starts to happily remember his favourite foods, with The Ghoul shooting him right in the middle of Roger talking about his mother. The implication is that the Ghoul wanted Roger to at least have a moment of happiness before dying, and a memory of his mother was the best possible moment.
  • Despite all that he's put her through, Lucy still gets the medication that the Ghoul needs and gives it to him, saving him from a Fate Worse than Death. While it would be in her best interests to just leave him to his fate, Lucy proves to the Ghoul that, while life is indeed hard in the wastelands and she may have to do some pretty awful things to survive, she will never sink to his level and will instead continue to be the kind-hearted person that she is. "Golden Rule" indeed.

    S 1 E 5 - The Past
  • Before Maximus reveals his identity and things go south, he and Thaddeus are shown having a grand time partying after successfully recovering the head, showing the two would have been great friends were it not for the bullying back at boot camp.

    S 1 E 6 - The Trap
  • Seeing Maximus enjoy the luxuries of Vault life after everything he's gone through in his life, drinking clean water, eating non-radioactive food and having what is probably his first hot shower. There's something very sweetly funny about a battle hardened Squire of the Brotherhood being in awe of static footage of a waterfall whilst munching on popcorn.

    S 1 E 7 - The Radio
  • Despite its apparently creepy nature with its mutated inhabitants and Moldaver worshipping cult, Vault 4 turns out to be completely genuine in its goodwill, not executing Lucy despite her disfiguring and beating up several of their residents. They even give her an entire bundle of supplies, with Benjamin assuring her that someone will carry them to the door for her.
  • Lucy manages to talk Maximus into returning the fusion core he stole to power his armor to Vault 4, saying that her father would be devastated if he learned she destroyed a peaceful community in her efforts to save him. This is followed by her making her first offer to Maximus to come live with her in Vault 33.
  • After Lucy offers to let him live with her, Maximus comes clean about him not really being Knight Titus, fully expecting that she would reject him for this lie. After a moment, she makes it clear to him that this does not matter to her, and she still thinks he's a good person.
Lucy: I just doused an innocent man's face with acid, and I've only been up here two weeks. The wasteland sucks.
  • Even after everything Thaddeus has done, Maximus still agrees to return the head to the Brotherhood in his place when he finds out Thaddeus is a ghoul and would be executed by the Brotherhood.
  • Maximus and Lucy share a tender kiss before they split up at the radio tower, her to find her father and him to stall the Brotherhood. While they've only known each other for a few days, the bond they have developed is truly genuine despite the hardships of the Wasteland around them.

    S 1 E 8 - The Beginning
  • Aspirant Dane does whatever they can to protect Maximus and help him advance in the Brotherhood's hierarchy, from claiming responsibility for their own maiming and begging Elder Quintus for mercy, to crediting Maximus with the kill on Moldaver and making him out to be a hero of the Brotherhood.
  • Among the NCR forces at Griffith Observatory is one of the ghouls Lucy freed in Episode 4 (specifically the one in the coat who personally thanked her before running off), and he is happy to see Lucy as she walks among the base to meet Moldaver.
  • Elder Quintus tells Maximus on their way to Griffith Observatory that he truly sees great potential in him, and he intends to reform the Brotherhood to become a more proactive and helpful force in the Wasteland and wants Maximus by his side as he does so. Given that he had questioned Maximus' loyalty the first time they had met, his view on the young Squire has come quite far.
  • Before leaving with the Ghoul for New Vegas, Lucy gives an unconscious Maximus a farewell kiss and promises him that she'll return and find him someday, further solidifying that she has developed feelings for the young Squire.
