Heartwarming / Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas

Go To

  • Emmet and Ma have a close relationship. They sing together, joke around, and care about each other immensely. It warms the heart to see such a nice family living a meager, but cheerful, life together.
  • When Emmet and Ma each compliment the other after their performances at the talent show.
  • The owner of the inn is a good man. At the beginning, he calls Emmet and Ma "the nicest people in town". Though he votes against them in the talent show, he is sure to find them afterwards and tell them why the judges made their decisions. And it is ultimately him that saves Emmet and Ma— after hearing their combined song, he hires them to be his in-house band.
  • The song "When the River Meets the Sea," from the TV special, could have its own Heartwarming page. Jim Henson loved it, and after his passing in 1990, it would be sung at his memorial service by Jerry Nelson (Emmet) and his Muppet Show costar Louise Gold.
