  • Why didn't the purple guy warn Vanessa's team that the game is corrupting? If both teams are competing, then he should have cared equally about both teams. But Vanessa and Reeve (Skeet was more open-minded), didn't believe that the game was corrupting, suggesting the weird guy didn't tell them.
    • This actually is a bit of Fridge Brilliance when you consider the twist ending: Weird Guy is the host of a show. What's his job? Making the show more interesting for the viewers. He might have just not told the other team as a way to milk some drama out of the events.
    • Judging from how his warning to Kai and Mira cut out part way, it's possible his ability to communicate with the other players was being affected, meaning he couldn't warn the other team in time.
  • How did the other team know they were in a game?
    • Lucky guess, maybe? While he isn't exactly handing out answers on a silver platter, there's nothing in Weird Guy's behavior that suggests he's gonna be overly fussed if the players figure it out for themselves. He's even handing out vague hints as to the nature of the world ("Here's your hint: you are here because you chose to be here." for example). It's possible he gave similar hints to Vanessa's team and they puzzled it out, unlike Adam, Kai and Mira who are consistently more concerned with their immediate survival than the bigger picture.
    • This is actually adressed in season 2, Vanessa reveals she was using special contacts that let her void the memory wipe, she could have waited for a plausible moment to tell the other two as if she had just figured it out.
  • Why do Adam, Kai, and Mira have two powers each when Reeve, Skeet, and Vanessa only have one power each?
    • What do you mean? Only Mira seems to have 2 abilities, and that's because each of her powers (water abilities and talking to animals) is too weak on its own to be balanced.
    • Except, Kai has two abilities as well: his pyrokinesis and his mechanical ability, he is openly shown chosing both in the finale.
      • It could be an issue of usefulness or preference, maybe it's possible to chose only one power or the others chose secondary powers that didn't really come into play or were a support necessity for the main power. For example, Adam could have chosen super strenght plus fighting ability/agility/parkour and it wouldn't be immediately obvious.
    • One power is chosen by the player and is flashy and cool, another is chosen by the game team, and is mostly of utility, used for puzzle-solving and advancing the plot. We just don't follow the second team in the situations where their secondaries are used. At least, that would be a reasonable way to do it.
  • Here's a question: what now? I can't see how they could make a season 2 since so much of the show's draw is that absolute mystery of what's actually going on. Should they even make a season 2?
    • It's been confirmed that a second season is in the works. So the only question remaining is, what will it be about?
    • WMG: There's a short moment where Vanessa's eye glitches despite being in the "real world". The Weird Guy / game show host was concerned about them getting out before the video game gets corrupted or erased. Season 2 involves dealing with a character from the video game escaping into our world by hijacking Vanessa's mind, perhaps?
      • In the crowd shots in the season finale there's not actually that many unique people, a lot of them are the same people copied. While this could mean they just didn't have that many people to use as extras, it could also mean they're still in the game, since a lot of games do the same thing with their crowds.
    • As of 2020, a second season has been released.
