Why would Noodman want to steal Lady Butterscotch from Darlene, if his father has a fear of cats?
Leslie wanted to give his father a taste of his own medicine by scaring him with the latter's worst fear as his pet, however another question that comes to mind is "Why didn't he bother to buy one at a shop?".
He prolly didn't have any money but, since he won the "Butts Up" game by cheating, he's probably just an asshole and is causing misery for both with the price of one.
How is Lady Butterscotch alive when Noodman and Darlene are kids AND adults?
The world's oldest cat on recent record died (Nutmeg) at 31 (with the very oldest living to 38) and cats on average tend to live around 18 years, so, either Lady Butterscotch just so happens to be long-lived for a cat or the "Lady Butterscotch" we're seeing isn't the first "Lady Butterscotch", though I'd guess it's the former, as she's a kitten in that flashback and Leslie (Noodman) and Darlene are in their 40s, so, doing this math right, Lady Butterscotch is prolly about 30-something years old. I mean, Noodman really, really, REALLY loves that cat.
