Team Break status

• After chapter 28, Team Break officially disbands. However some still retain the status but why still appear and shouldn’t Sawyer and Rachel be stopping Team Rocket instead in the 4th Interlude?
  • Chapter 28 has some members of Team Break saying that they liked being part of Team Break and decided to stay together.

Protagonist and Rival stopping villainous teams

• Why does every chapter of the Villain Arc focus on all the players and rivals. Can’t it just be the Masters player themselves?
  • Scottie/Bettie's story wrapped up when the PML arc ended. The antagonists have more personal ties to the player characters.

Canonicity of the players

• Every continuity of the core series has no official protagonist canon sans Red. Yet, Hugh is friends with both Nate and Rosa and Leaf exists. Shouldn’t Nate just mention Rosa and not have Leaf appear?
  • The Battle Subway in the Generation V games indicate that the other protagonist exists and Leaf is alongside Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in bringing her back after last appearing in FRLG.
    • But the other protagonist never went on the same journey as the player or met the rival.
    • It's been indicated as of the Galar Chapter of the Villain Arc that Hoopa's been bringing in people from alternate timelines.

Pokémon Masters event timeline

• It’s very hard to say which event takes place. There are very few elements like Serena’s Zygarde appearing in Kalos Chapter and Cyrus recalling words of Sophocles in “A New World Dilemma” as well as Stella, the Rising Star that the player helps find her Torchic in the PML arc, in the Ash event.

EX Player & Solgeleo

• Why are the Player & Solgeleo EX’d?
  • Probably because they're trying to make it like the other Sync Pairs released from the start of the game where they got Sync Grids and EX's to make them more useful.
    • But they didn’t release a Player & Pikachu EX.
    • Solgaleo was the Alolan Legendary Pair, and when each Villain Arc was released each region's respective Legendary Adventure pair was EX'ed. They were the pair for Alola since no pair with an Alolan character could be recruited through these stories. The other Player sync pairs will likely get their EX unlocked another time.
    • But why didn’t DeNA decide to leave out Player & Sogeleo or at least not have gear.
    • See above. Plus if there wasn't a pair that got EX unlocked for the Alola villain arc then people would have been upset about it and complained since it was established as a precedent.

New roles

• Was there any real point in introducing Sprint and Field roles to the game? For instance, Field role is supposed to be about changing the field but Palmer who is a Strike character in his regular role has Normal Wish which changes the zone of play into a Normal Zone.
  • Look at it this way: what happens if the devs wanted to create a sync pair with middling attack and defense stats but specialized in creating fields? What role should it be? The only possible one is Tech, and if it kept getting used as the dumping ground for sync pairs not specializing in attack or defense, the role would quickly become bloated. Creating extra roles is a way to avoid that.

Poké Fair Sync Pairs

• Why are Sync Pairs like Galar cast, Emma, Nemona, & Palmer Poké Fair scouts instead of normal Sync Pair scouts? Was there a choice?
• Why are also SS Misty and SS Erika Sync Pair scouts?
  • Money!
    • Yes. Money. How can money be easily explained?
    • By getting people to spend more money on Sync Pairs for special banners.

No Pikachu and Eevee Voice Lines

• Why are Pikachu and Eevee voice lines staying with the Otani and Yūki voice lines even though core series isn’t currently doing that? Even Akari’s Pikachu should sound like it was in LA.
  • Probably because many spin-off games like Pokémon Channel and Pokepark Wii retain Ikue Otani's vocals.
    • But the other cries. This is more side story of the core series.

No New April Seasonal Story Events

• Why hasn’t there been any new Seasonal Stories in an April along with new Seasonal Sync Pairs?

Lucas’ Infernape

• Why does Lucas have an Infernape. Was he borrowing Flint’s?
• Also, why use the Infernape to battle Torterra in Together In An Unknown Land? Shouldn’t he have used Empoleon.

Blue’s EX

• Why does Blue have two EX clothing for both Arcanine and Pidgeot?
  • Each count as their own pair much like how a trainer in an alternate outfit counts as a different pair. This will likely be the case for other pairs involving the same base trainer when their EX Styles are released.
