Per wiki policy, Spoilers Off applies here and all spoilers are unmarked. You Have Been Warned.

  • In the second game, when you enter the Negative Zone, you can call Nick Fury out on being old. His rebuttal is that he's been kicking butt since you were in diapers. For most characters, yeah, okay, sure. But not when your party consists of: Captain America, who worked WITH him during said buttkicking, Wolverine, who ALSO worked with him during said buttkicking and in fact is even older than he is, being born in the late 1800s, and Thor, who is a Nordic god and therefore has Fury beat by 700 years at least.
    • It helps if you don't use those characters.
      • It helps more that logically plot-wise, there is no way for Cap to have that conversation with Fury, because at that point in the story, he's too busy beating the snot out of Iron Man.
  • How about this one from the first game then: okay, the nanites in the heroes' bodies allow them to breathe, see and speak underwater, and roam the kingdom of Atlantis freely. But how come you can pick Human Torch and/or Ghost Rider to play there?
    • Well, Ghost Rider's flames are not physical, they're hellfire, so they burn independent of air. Human Torch? Okay, you got me on that one.
    • Reed had made some ridiculous "fire powers work underwater" gizmo a few times before, why not now?
    • Unstable molecules.
  • Considering that they made a reference to Secret Invasion... am I the only one who thinks that the Spider-Woman that's been around since the first and second game is actually Veranke (the 'Skrull Empress' that was saved in MUA 1 from Galactus turns out not to be Veranke)? If Secret Invasion becomes a plot in MUA 3, that is...
    • Well, maybe or maybe not. Considering that the in-game universe is divergent to that of Earth-616 (the mainstream Marvel Universe), it's possible that that's really Jessica Drew in the game, and the Skrull invasion is made in a different way (they had done the same thing to the Fantastic Four in their first comics appearance, AFAIR).
  • In the first game, there is not a single team bonus that includes both Daredevil and Elektra. Not a single one.
    • There's no Double Date bonus because, as Elektra explains in the game, she and Daredevil hadn't dated in a long time. He had been with Black Widow more recently than Elektra.
    • Actually, there is one: "Agile Warriors" (10% reduced energy cost), with 4 heroes among Spider-Man, Deadpool, Black Panther, Daredevil and Elektra. It isn't much and it's not an "official" team, but there you go.
  • The DLC Character Pack for MUA2 is actually still up on the PSN for purchase. I thought they were taking it down in 2010. What gives?
    • It's... complicated. Just take the chance you have and download it if you want it before it's down again.
    • It's actually the DLC Character Compatibility Pack, which lets people who haven't downloaded the characters play against people who have. Most people miss the fine print, though.
  • In Ultimate Alliance and Ultimate Alliance 2, when you run out of energy, they blurt out that “They are out of energy.” Who are they talking too when they say this?
    • Gameplay and Story Segregation. The game itself is telling you that your characters are out of energy. Not the most elegant way of doing so from a storytelling perspective, perhaps, but there it is.
