What Nick knows

When Rory Breaker interrogates Nick the Greek to find out who robbed him, Nick (presumably) says it was the lads. Which is understandable from his point of view, as he sold the guns to Tom and Tom has since come to him for his help in selling the dope. Yet Nick evidently gives Rory Eddie's address (as far as can be gathered from the dialogue early in the film, it's just Eddie and Bacon who live next to Dog's HQ) — setting up the big shoot-out as Rory and his gang go there to kill the lads, only to run into Dog and his gang who are lying in wait for the lads. But why would Nick give Rory Eddie's address? His dealings with Tom have been mostly at Tom's office which is at the back of a shop, and while he has met Eddie and has probably guessed that he was involved in the robbery as he is a friend of Tom's, there has hitherto been nothing to suggest that Nick knows where Eddie — to him, the friend of a business acquaintance — lives.
  • Rory wants to know who's trying to fuck him and so he's pressuring Nick. Tom's house or shop? That paints a bullseye on him, Tom will instantly know Nick ratted him out. Plus Nick probably knows Tom can't be stupid enough to hide his stuff in his own house or shop. So next are his associates, perhaps starting with Eddie. His dad's pub is out as a possibility so his place. The lads clearly have a history with Nick beyond what we see in the movie so it's not entirely out of the question that at some point, he found out where Eddie lives.

Paying Harry (or not)

After robbing Dog's gang, the lads count up the money and put aside the amount they owe Harry. Then, they party at JD's bar, leaving the money and the dope at Eddie and Bacon's flat. Given that they can get what they owe Harry from the money alone (and therefore don't have to wait until Nick's fenced the dope), why on Earth don't they take the cash to Harry straightaway, and then party? Surely paying him off, which is the reason why they resorted to armed robbery in the first place, should be the priority?
  • "We've been shitting ourselves inside out for the last few days and now we're in the clear. Why don't we unwind tonight, we've deserved it. Tomorrow we can take care of business with Harry and then with Rory, easy peasy." They just had the phenomenally bad luck double whammy of both Dog and Rory coming to their place.

Getting rid of the guns

Towards the end, Tom is sent out to dispose of the antique shotguns which are stated to be the only remaining pieces of evidence linking the lads to what's happened. How so? They only used them "for show" to hold up Dog and his gang — and since they're all dead, they're not in a position to recognise the firearms that were used to ambush them.
  • After Harry eventually got hold of them, he used one of them to kill Dean (with both barrels). The police could therefore link the shotguns to one of the (many) deaths in the movie — of all the bodies that pile up, Dean's is the only one that can't be linked to a weapon found at the scene(s). It's also likely that the bankrupt lord reported them as stolen, so if the lads were to be caught with them they could be linked to Gary and Dean's break-in; the lads don't know where the guns came from, but since they got them from Nick the Greek it wouldn't take a genius to work out that they were probably stolen.
