Headscratchers / Glitch Techs

  • How has Mitch not been demoted or fired? He doesn’t treat others well and often uses glitch techs resources for his own personal gain, haven’t Phil or his coworkers ratted him out?
    • Under ordinary circumstances he seems to be good enough at his job to justify keeping him in their employ. Clearly he has some problems but it's on par with dealing with the eccentricities of a gifted IT wiz.
    • He's never particularly rude to Phil either. Though Phil doesn't like him he doesn't seem to like any of them that much, and certainly doesn't trust any of them enough to suspend the guy giving him the best 'on the books' results based on their word alone.
    • Adding this, Phil is too much of a softy to fire anyone. Whenever he "threatens" his employees, he's seen to always do so in jest.
    • Mitch may be a douche, but he still gets the job done better than others.
  • Why don't Miko and Five attend school?
    • Word of God said that Miko was "held back a grade" so they do attend school. It's just not shown because it's not relevant.
    • This show takes place during the Summer of two months.
  • Crossing over from WMG, how were Glitches kept secret during the early days of its discovery? If we were to assume Hinobi discovered Glitches, then developed their weaponry after that, that means there was a small window of time when they were unable to be contained. If that happened, then they would have been roaming freely for a while and be visible to a lot of people until Gauntlets were available. How has nobody outside the inner circle of Hinobi learned about it? I can't imagine them being able to track down every single witness of the early Glitches to mindwipe them as surely videos and photos would have been around and even then the information could have been passed down from witness to witness until too many people know about it.
    • They aren't able to get everyone, such as Ridley. They're just that good at silencing the majority of the public and have full-control over the media, iirc.
  • So why don't Miko and Five question the ethics of upholding The Masquerade? They just readily accept that it's okay to erase people's memories and that people who buy Hinobi products don't have a right to know that they are dangerous?
    • They're kids, not Kid Detective's, who are also The Men in Black of their universe. It's their job. They already know that Hinobi is into some dangerous stuff but have no real reason to believe that they're at fault. Besides, telling the public about Glitches is going against the rules, minus a few personal exceptions (Miko not wiping her sisters mind due to sheer amounts of trust).
  • Is Hinobi really handling the Glitches in secret all on their own? For comparison: Kamen Rider Ex-Aid has a similar premise, except Genm Corp teamed up with the Ministry of Health. Meanwhile, Hinobi seems to be nothing more than a manufacturer of gaming devices and video games and have not teamed up with any form of the government or higher authority. Seems odd they themselves just happened to be able to create their anti-Glitch tech.
    • Ridley is the only non-Glitch Tech member shown to be "handling" Glitches. There's probably others like Ridley, too.
  • Why don't the Glitch Techs' combat gear look so discreet? Secrecy is the number one rule of their job and they patrol the area looking like someone who wouldn't be too out of place from a cosplay convention. I know they wear their regular uniform and just the armor over it, but with the advancements of technology, is there really no way to look less noticeable while still having the protection? I know they mindwipe anyone who sees them, but wouldn't it be less of a hassle to make sure they aren't seen anyways?
    • It wouldn't matter, because they mind-wipe people anyways.
  • In Karate Trainer, Five guards the door so they don't get caught. Five bumps into Phil when he sees him, which causes him to see his key card and take it from Five. So, how is Five able to get back into the training room without a card?
