Why didn't Sharon get that tattoo after all the work? It was a timeless tattoo that would likely remain cool in centuries especially considering Sharon's character. The story behind the tattoo is a symbol of freedom itself and it would always remain as a memory of Sharon's independence from her mother. Heck if she wanted, she could probably mold her mother into a submissive doormat by showing it in her face every time she tried to assert herself or just teach her mom that tattoos aren't necessarily bad. Her mom-o-vision of Sharon as an rebellious pierced punk seems unlikely anyway.
Sharon said she changed her mind. Simple as that.
The Scolding
Why did Sharon's mom scold her for an accidental click in "Mommy Nearest"? If her logs are as precise as she acts like they are, she should've seen that Sharon was looking for information on a school project and it was an accidental click.
Apparently, the log told her that Sharon was on that website for much longer than she probably should have been.
Shouldn't they be rich?
With Sharon's dad being a drummer in a rock band, how come her family isn't wealthier? He's been shown to have a lot of gigs and tours, in the "Clean Slate" episode, his band even had one of their albums at the CD store. Wouldn't that make them pretty successful? You'd also think that a lot of people would try to get on the good side of the daughter of somebody in a rock band. I know he took a job at a restaurant in one episode, but that also doesn't make sense considering that they have shown him to have the level of success in his career where his band's album is being sold in stores.
They're likely only semi-successful, enough to keep at it but not making a huge profit. And any money they make would also be split between the band members and go towards actually paying for those tours (food, rooms, equipment, transportation).
