Alexander & The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day
Nick's Pillow Return
- Why does Nick take back the pillow Alexander said he could keep?
Alexander Who Used To Be Rich Last Sunday
Dad's Pay
- Why does Dad want money for all the stuff Alexander does no matter how mean his brothers are?
- It's just their family's system of discipline. The boys aren't allowed to physically hurt each other (the "thing" Alexander kicked was presumably one of his brothers' butts) and they're not allowed to swear (the "word" Alexander said was probably a curse word to one of his brothers), even when they're provoked, and they're "fined" some of their spending money each time they do those things.
- Or maybe Dad is fed up with Nick and Anthony bullying Alexander.
- Then why didn’t Mom fine Alexander for fighting with Nick in The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day?
- Maybe the "thing" Alexander kicked was something in the living room. Regardless, the brothers aren't allowed to cuss nor do harm to each other or their family's property and are given to pay their parents as a consequence in return.

UNFriendly's Market
- What makes Friendly's Market not Friendly. The manager presumably thinks that Alexander might rob him. He is just doing his job as manager. Alexander even thought of hiding in the pickle barrel to avoid moving. Was Alexander lying that "Friendly's Market wasn't very friendly"?
