Headscratchers / Aladdin and the Adventure of All Time

• The adult characters in the beginning of the movie making fun of Paige reading so much. It's understandable why the kids would do that, but the adults? Seriously? Was this just the writers trying to incorporate the lonely bookworm syndrome with no friend in town?
• Aladdin and Paige "fixing" Henry VIII, Blackbeard, and Cleopatra. Obviously, Aladdin had no idea what kind of people they were and may have been mislead into "correcting" history. However, Paige should have known better. If she's such a bookworm, then shouldn't a little history on these people be somewhere in her memory?
