Pre-Release
- One web ad on YouTube sees King Magnifico blocking a skip ad button and smirks at the user, saying he doesn't really care.
- Simon in one teaser cowers at the sight of a bear (named John according to subtitles), who informs him he's not the one he should fear. Cue bunnies popping up with Scare Chords, and one giving a Flat Scare - which makes him scream loudly.
- The released clip
of "This is the Thanks I Get!?" reveals how much of a callous narcissist Magnifico is, via playing with animate figures. He steals the clothes off one of them and pats the head of the one he gives them to, and volunteers one figure to help a burning building... by flicking them into the flames and collapsing house (which he caused no less). When the figure fails, Magnifico gives him a cookie which cheers them up.
Post-Release
- When Queen Amaya comes to fetch Asha for her interview, Asha asks if she’s late, but Amaya assures her she isn't and that Magnifico is simply ready for her ahead of schedule… and when the previous candidate is running away crying about how it went disastrously, Amaya tactfully says that the last interview ended early.
- The antics of Star and the red yarn. Valentino tells him to be careful because his mother was shaved to make that yarn.
- Asha meeting Star for the first time. Once Star notices her, they stare closely to her with a giant smile, and they keep it even when an uncomfortable Asha turns around.
- After Star steals her journal, she quickly tries to get it back in a thug war that ends with her having her face smacked by her book, because a distracted Star let it go to mess with Valentino.
- Before Asha reveals Star to The Teens:Asha: Last night, I made a wish on a star. And the star answered.
Gabo: What are you, five? - When Asha opens the door to the pantry to show the 7 Teens, she reveals that the chickens are singing and dancing to a song similar to "Happy Wanderer".
- Asha and Valentino swimming back to Rosas. Valentino calls out that there's a shark in the water, only to tell Asha that he was just practicing.
- Another bit of black comedy occurs when Valentino tells the teens about his mother's advice about climbing which was 'if somebody falls, leave them.'
- During the forest chase, Asha accidentally makes dresses grow on trees and reveals her hiding place by accident due to inexperience with the wand.
- As Asha is distracting Magnifico in the forest, one of the talking deer from earlier in the movie gets in her way as she's careening out of control in a runaway cart. Due to the light of her magic wand all he can do is grin stupidly and go "Wow, I'm so mesmerized!". Like a deer. In the headlights.
- During the denouement, Star makes one of the chickens in town grow gigantic. Dario promptly hugs the giant chicken while the chicken lays a huge egg that lands directly onto Gabo.Gabo: And you wonder why I'm grumpy!
