Funny / Sahara (2005)

• Dirk and Al making a wind-surfer out of a wrecked airplane to cross the desert. How do they stop it? THEY CRASH INTO A GUY'S SHOP. "Magic Carpet Ride" by Steppenwolf playing during their traveling sequence is just the icing on the cake. Also a Crowning Moment of Awesome for their MacGyvering skills.
• Al unloading a seemingly endless arsenal of weapons from all over himself while the trio is being forced at gunpoint to exit the car. "...What?"
• "NO PANAMA!"
  Rudi: What's a Panama?
  Al: Navy thing.
  Rudi: I didn't know you were in Panama.
  Al: We weren't, we were in Nicaragua.
  Rudi: So, why do you call it a Panama?
  Al: We thought we were in Panama!
  • Turns out a "Panama" is jury-rigging a speedboat to explode by taping a lit cigar to the fuel tank.
    Sandecker: He did a Panama.
    (groan)
    He did a Panama.
  • And then there's Rudi's horrified reaction during the aftermath of the "Panama" when Dirk sheepishly admits that this is his and Al's first time attempting the maneuver where it actually worked.
    Rudi: Is that how it worked the first time?
    Dirk: Well, it didn't really work the first time.
• Dirk: That was close.
  Al: Yeah it was.
  Dirk: You ok?
  Al: Glad I'm driving.
  Dirk: I am too. Rudy?
  Rudi: (while holding the satellite phone) I shot a guy with a flare gun!
  Dirk: Cool.
  Sandecker: (on the other end of said phone) What? A flare gun?
• Sandecker's Failed a Spot Check when he enters his office on the NUMA ship and begins working on his computer before noticing a strange smell in the room and eventually finding Rudi asleep on the couch, still wearing the same now-filthy clothes he had on during the "Panama".
  Sandecker: Rudi?
  Rudi: (jolting awake) Oh, Admiral. I've got some bad news about your boat. (does the hand gesture of an explosion and mouths 'BOOM')
• Al's comment, during a chase scene: "It's Kazim! Maybe he wants his car back!"
• The Funny Background Event that goes on while Dirk's on the phone with Sandecker.
