Funny / Rocky and Bullwinkle (2014)

Go To

  • In the opening Dreamworks Animation logo for the short, Rocky replaces the boy on the moon and inadvertently reels in Bullwinkle, who is seen tangled in the fishing line.
  • Fearless Leader’s latest plan is creating a lady moose-bot for Boris to pilot. Boris is initially excited, asking if he will control the moose-boot from afar with a plug in his cerebral cortex. It turns out that was the original plan, but then Fearless Leader admits they had some budget cuts… Cue Fearless Leader and Natasha shoving Boris into the moose-bot.
  • This exchange after the title:
Narrator: When we last left our intrepid duo...
Rocky: For one thing, it was 1964.
Bullwinkle: Yeah, how long did you expect us to stay frozen like that? I could really use a potty break.
  • After saving the mayan princess, Both Rocky and Bullwinkle get the mayans' greatest honor: to be sacrificed and have their hearts plucked out.
Rocky: Hokey Smoke, That's a reward?!?
Bullwinkle: Jeepers! I hate to see what you fellas do for punishment.
Mayan Preist: Eh, same thing...only you don't get the cool necklaces.
  • While the mayans that tried to kill him at the start of the short being at his wedding is funny enough, the reveal of who is on the bride's side is nothing sort of hysterical.
Snidley: Snidely Whiplash, friend of the bride. (gives a Slasher Smile)
  • When Rocky arrives on the ship to stop the wedding, and the narrator asks if the squirrel can save Bullwinkle in time, there's this question from Boris:
  • The Poetry Corner segment, where Bullwinkle attempts to recite the works of a certain Marshall Mathers the Third. He makes it through a few lines of Superman before stumbling across Eminem's trademark foul mouth in the book he was reciting from. He then flips through the rest of said book to find something less offensive to read from...then inevitably has to cut the rest of the segment short.
Bullwinkle: Next week, the complete works of mister Fifty Cents.
  • The colossal amount of abuse Boris takes inside the lady moose-bot.
Boris: (Bowling ball falls out of nowhere onto his gut) Who is keeping bowling ball in here?!
  • Bullwinkle getting electrocuted when he kisses the lady moose-bot.
  • We finally find out why Fearless Leader wants Boris and Natasha to kill moose and squirrel.
Rocky: Why does Fearless Leader want us dead anyway?
Natasha: If you saw his rumpus room, you would totally get it.
(Jump Cut to the Fearless Leader’s rumpus room, which is filled with animal trophies, except for two empty ones labeled “Moose” and “squirrel”. The Fearless Leader himself is sitting in the room with a hilariously childish pout)
  • After Boris ejects himself from the lady moose-bot, he pulls a ripcord, expecting a parachute to open. Instead, he gets the following note from Fearless Leader:
Boris: (reading the note in mid-air) "I owe you one parachute. Signed, Fearless Leader." (faces the audience) Hoo boy. (falls toward the ship screaming)
    • Following this, Natasha has Rocky at sword-point and asks, "Any Last Words?" and he replies, "Look up there!" At first she thinks he's trying to trick her, but, sure enough Boris lands on top of her and they fall out of the ship.
    • Then, when Rocky launches the moose-bot into the water and it blows up on the villains, this happens:
Boris: Ha! It will take more than that to do in Boris Badenov! (a shark eats him and Natasha) Me and my big mouth.
  • With Boris and Natasha defeated and the Lady Moosebot destroyed, Bullwinkle vows to never let anything come between him and Rocky again...only for the latter to notice a robot squirrel with a lit fuse on its head walking up to the two and become smitten with it.
Bullwinkle: Hey, Rocky... I think she likes you.
  • In The Stinger, Fearless Leader decides to go bowling, but he can't find his bowling ball, since it's not in its bag. He asks his mother if she's seen it, and she asks him "Did you look in your killer robot?" Cue an Oh, Crap! from Fearless Leader.
