  • In "The Home Front," Grumpy Toad is upset and lonely because he feels his new baby brother is getting all of his family's attention. Finally, annoyed that his parents won't even give him a minute for a new bike trick, he goes off by himself and makes up a song called "So Alone." Pete the Cat and Pete's family invite him over for dinner, but he keeps singing snippets of the song, which keep getting comically interrupted by members of Pete's family. Finally, Bob tells Grumpy that he remembers what it was like when Pete came home and that he felt a little left out too.
Grumpy: Really? So what did you do, Bob? Create an intensely sad song and sing it constantly so you could wallow in your sad feelings?
Bob: (looking deeply disturbed) Um, no. I started helping out.
  • In "School Starts Tomorrow (Operetta)," one of the lines sung by the sales lady in the "Mega Mart" song is "Come on and give us a chance / The only thing we don't have is pants."
  • In "Take Your Cat to Work Day," the reporter Bonnie B. is locked in a control room, so the kids are asked to do the news instead. Callie is the anchor and she comes on saying that she's filling in for Bonnie B., "who is locked up."
    Bonnie: ...in the control room!
Callie: Uh, yes, locked up in the control room.
