• The hilariously inappropriate music that plays as Maggie and Erica move back to the latter's hometown; it's an energetic indie song about leaving a small town for greener pastures, playing over shots of shuttered businesses and a sign that says "Dead End."
• Ma is at a beauty parlor getting a pedicure when she receives notifications on her social media about Haley telling everyone to drop her due to her being creepy. An elderly woman sitting beside her asks her to turn her phone down and angrily argues with her until Ma storms out.
• Chaz trying and failing to do the worm before just giving up and humping the ground.
• Ma happens to see Mercedes jogging while driving in her pickup truck, and on impulse decides to run her over. The impact causes Mercedes' body to do a flip in the air before she hits the road dead, and Ma doesn't slow down at all or display any real emotion, instead cranking up the volume on "September" by Earth, Wind & Fire as she drives away. It's a perfect moment of black comedy.
