Story Mode

  • Over the course of Week 6, Boyfriend is simply heard talking down Sensei and pushing his temper buttons. By "Thorns D-Sides", he reaches his wit's end once Boyfriend calls his speeches corny. Even Dwayne is unamused by Boyfriend's attitude towards things like this.

Freeplay

  • Zeus follows in Lord X's footsteps of being absolutely horrifying to look at, but being almost nothing but levity in motion.
    • As Mighty, his left pose has him put the back of his hand to his forehead, close his eyes and turn away as if to say "You wound me, sir", and his down pose has him do the splits abruptly, crumpling his muzzle slightly and looking as if he hates every nanosecond he spends like that.
    • As Ristar, his left pose changes to an Aside Glance not unlike Lord X, his down pose has an especially smug sneer compared to his previous form, and his right pose has Vectorman pry Ristar's mouth open and point at Boyfriend, extending his arm so far forward he actually manages to poke BF on the cheek.
    • As Vectorman, who lacks a mouth, his visor flexes like a giant frog's mouth to compensate. His down pose has the orbs making up his hips bunch up like especially prominent buttcheeks, and his right pose has Alex Kidd playing Janken and throwing Scissors. Matched with BF's left pose, it looks like a constant stalemate because neither of them wants to pick anything else.
    • Alex Kidd has the least overtly aggressive poses, with his left pose being a simple hand gesture as if he's having a casual conversation, his up pose looking like he's letting out a Metal song wail, and his down pose being a formal bow.
    • Speaking of that last one, within the files exists a joke reskin named "Cheater" that makes him resemble Dream, right down to him wearing Dream's mask based on his blob avatar. And following along the trend of Z's forms peaking out of the mouth of his current one in his Right pose, Dream's Right pose has Z in his Mighty form holding a sign that says "HELP!", along with a sad expression reminiscent of the Sad Spongebob meme.
  • "Milk" has Dr. Eggman rap battle against Sunky.MPEG, who has broken into his lab for whatever reason. After doing this for a while, Eggman literally kicks Sunky out... through the wall. And, if you look closely, the sole of Eggman's shoe has "The Hedgehog Kicker" and a picture of Sunky getting stomped written on it.
  • After he gets a good look at the trio found in "Milk" while you're busy with Tenma and God Z, even Zephaniah can't find anything clever to say or relevant to stage a riddle around because he's so confused by Sunky's world and why it's here, so he just unlocks the song no questions asked.
  • The cavalcade of hilarity with the EXEs continue in "God Feast", with the hellish hedgehogs visiting the home of the abominable armadillos for Thanksgiving, saying grace to each other over a roast Cucky and mashed entrails.
    • During the intro cutscene, everything is shockingly domestic for a meeting between gods and anomalous entertainers. Zeus prepared the meal, Tenma set the table, Zephaniah was sprucing himself up, and D-Sides Fleetway, Super Scourge, and Mitee are passing the time playing games on the TV.
    • The intro also reveals that D-Sides Sanic is the default blank slate for Newgrounds' most popular "Sonic Character Creator" dress-up game. So, a white, Sonic-proportioned mannequin that just stands motionlessly by the couch.
    • Xenophanes tries to sneak a bite, but Zeus slaps his hand away like a misbehaving child.
    • Lord X is wearing a stereotypical set of tiny old man spectacles, and Zeus has an equally stereotypical green sweater-vest.
    • Xenophanes is wearing his Tails's tails as a scarf, while Zephaniah has a bowtie and Ray's flight membranes draped over his shoulders.
    • Majin has a stylish to hat with a blue infinity symbol on the front, and Tenma is wearing his best clown shoes. They also appear to be eating that weird Sonic Curry.
    • Sunky and Mitee are sitting by the fire in baby highchairs, playing with their Tails Dolls.
    • At the end, Zephaniah concludes the song with a final word of grace, and a realization. It gets funnier with the OST video even including a storyboard to go with the moment.
Zephaniah: Bless you, bless you all, for coming to, this... Cele-... what the fuck even is Thanksgiving?

Other

  • Before the release of the update, Zephaniah took over the D-Side Twitter account to deliver messages from the new opponents. While Tenma and Zeus' previews are suitably menacing, the other three shatter his attempts at a foreboding atmosphere in increasingly blatant ways.
    • Ved Guy's message is a plug for Fredbear's Family Diner, but he's legally required to stitch a liability disclaimer longer than his initial message onto it. He then caps it off by telling you to avoid Burger King.
    • MackPack's message is a broadcast that showcases he's leagues more down the golden rabbit hole than our version, to the point where his ramblings about William's son being a murderer are cut off by Zephaniah because he can tell there'd be no end in sight otherwise.
    • Mitee doesn't have a message. He just drops in and bullies Zephaniah off the mic, takes over the account, calls him an old man, releases the update himself, and hold a post-release Q&A session.
  • The Mod's FAQ is mostly serious, but contains two joke questions towards the end, someone frantically asking why Mighty.ZIP is in their house, and another asking if Tenma Mighty is fruity. DastardlyDeacon responds "I was wondering why he was out of his cage" for the former and "A little" for the latter.
  • The sheer fact that, according to Word of God, Zeus was brought to earth by SEGA to make games for them because they lacked enough team members starting out. The worlds he made aren't attempts to lure people in so much as they are him just smashing the leftover game builds he has together to amuse himself since SEGA's response to getting more staff was to just leave the demon they enslaved unattended in an abandoned Sega Headquarters.
  • The D-Sides lore document is a mostly-formal telling of various events and characters within the lore of the mod... except the section on Madness Combat, which is simply "florida". Yes, not even capitalized.
