As heavy and dark the atmosphere of the game is, some moments can be surprisingly funny.
- When confronting Andrasta Braveblood, you can compliment her appearance, to which she will sarcastically say her secret is an ointment made of children's blood, crushed worms and dawnflower sap. You can jokingly react with disgust at that last one.
- The banker, Samael Silren, clearly much prefers when you make a deposit than when you withdraw money, reacting with a delighted "Of course!" in the former case and a blunt "Hm,hm" in the latter.
- Speaking of which, when told you need to deposit at least 100 pennies to start an account, you can choose to give him the 100 pennies...then immediately withdraw 99 of them. His reaction is priceless.
- The first time you ask Aurora to summon the ghost of a pig to ask him where to find a diploma, she assumes you want to commune with your dead wife like everyone else who asked her to hold a sèance and (badly) pretends to talk to you on her behalf. She's caught off guard when you finally reveal you were looking for a pig.
- When, just after that, she does summon the spirit of the pig, you have to tame it with food. One of the food items you can try to tempt him with is a piece of bacon, which makes him react with outrage.
