• Doug convinces Kirill to help him in Episode 1 by promising him the possibility of a "posthumous promotion" to Sergeant.
  Kirill: T-that's a huge promotion!
  Narrator: Kirill didn't know what the word "posthumous" meant! It means you're dead!
• Kirill's plan to distract the gunman in Episode 1? Pretend to be a time-traveler. And he turns out to be committed to the role... very committed.
• Kirill helps Jefferson out of the warehouse triumphantly, and is immediately tackled by several police officers.
• In Episode 2 it's easy to forget that the injured prison guard (and rescue worker) are in the back of the ambulance during the whole car chase (which included going the wrong way in heavy traffic and flipping the ambulance on it side), but after Doug shoots Henry, he goes to check up on him.
  Doug: You okay?
  Beat.
  Prison guard: (very shaken) Is this the hospital?
• In episode 4 When Deana and Kay go undercover to a host club, the latter pulls out a wallet and starts partying. Kay asks where the money came from and Deana answers Sophie let her borrow it. Cut to Travis at the office asking Sophie if she stole his wallet again.
• In episode 5 Seven-O looks for a body buried near a statue, and the narrator mentions that because this not an official police matter, the only ones digging are the usual six. Cut to Deana cursing while the rest of Seven-O digs.
• The whole interrogation of the drunken man in episode 6 by Doug and Kirill is made hilarious because it was recorded on a TV show, so their faces and voices are all censored.
  • The Sustained Misunderstanding that occurs later in the episode is also quite amusing.
• The ED's shots of Apple screaming and Derick shaking a drink in time to the music. It helps these shots add an orange background (for the former) and a green background with red glasses (for the latter) after a while, so they can double as Freeze-Frame Bonus moments.
