Barbarian may be a horror film, but it was also directed by one fifth of The Whitest Kids U' Know, so naturally there are some hysterical moments as well.

- The Mother makes her grand entrance, smashes Keith's face into juicy pulp and advances on Tess, and then...the movie cuts to AJ driving down a long road on a bright, sunny day, badly singing along to a song on the radio.
- AJ discovers a creepy tunnel in his basement that culminates in a cell-like room with a nasty mattress and bloody handprint on the wall. His first thought is whether he can count it as square footage for his Airbnb and he starts measuring it out with absolutely no regard for how strange the situation is.
- AJ’s "WHADDUP FAGGOT!" is hilarious purely due to Justin Long’s delivery. The sudden zoom on his face makes the scene even funnier.
- After Andre saves Tess and AJ from the house, he explains what The Mother is and how she came into being. Tess and AJ wonder if he’s worried she’ll find them and he says that The Mother has never found him for 15 years. But before he can even finish that sentence, The Mother bursts through the wall like the Kool-Aid Man.Andre: “Shit. I've been livin’ in this place for more than 15 years, and she ain't never came in this motherfuck-“The Mother: [Crashes through the wall and roars.]
