• Poor Barney:
  Barney: I don't get it. I marry Annabelle and I spend my honeymoon with you.
  Sunshine: Well, I can cook.
  • And when they're trying to rescue Leda.
  Barney: I wish I was on 42nd Street.
  Sunshine: Why 42nd Street?
  Barney: So I could catch the subway home.
• After Leda had knocked Gloves unconscious and he finally regains consciousness. Gloves discovers Sunshine alive (for the moment) after having spent the last twenty minutes nearly getting killed looking for him, Sunshine is less than grateful for the trouble.
  Gloves: That you, Sunshine?
  Sunshine: If it ain't, I've been doing a lot of suffering for the wrong party.
• When Gloves and Sunshine are breaking into the warehouse building.
  Sunshine: Here lies Sunshine under the sod. That's not odd. He had no rod.
  Gloves: You know, there are times when I wonder about you.
• Gloves and Sunshine's attempts to stall during the fifth columnists meeting in the toy store basement. Gloves is forced to take center stage and then proceeds to distract everyone with fast-paced and longwinded Techno Babble (which he and Sunshine appear to be making up on the spot).
• After the crisis has been resolved and the reporters ask Gloves and Leda for a statement.
  Leda: (to reporters) Well, I... I feel a little like the princess who has been rescued from the dragon by the white knight.
  Reporter: Oh, that's you, Gloves! You're the white knight! (all the reporters have a good laugh)
  Gloves: (baffled at first, Gloves recovers and gives a smile) Wait a minute, wait a minute! Anybody that prints that can expect the usual trouble.
  Reporters: (more laughter)
