Episode 3 -"Back in Your Arms"
- John attempts to carjack a parked vehicle when a DC officer ambushes him from the back. He easily disarms the officer at every turn until said officer takes out a switchblade. John whacks his shoulders with his collapsible baton to get him unarmed. It doesn't help that John covered his head with a hoodie, which likely gave the officer justification to check him out.John: "We're on the same team, pal.”
Episode 6 - "Sacrifice"
- John has just convinced a drug dealer named Hector that he will drive off a cliff if he doesn't get the name he wants.John: I'm convinced. [Beat, exhales] You need a ride?
Hector: Unh-unh. No, that's okay, jefe. Keep my car. I'll walk.
Episode 8 - "Angels and Demons"
- In a flashback, John has gone to his girlfriend's place after rescuing a French ambassador who turned out to be a bit of a jerk:Pamela: So, uh, you want to eat in then?
John: Yeah.
Pamela: What do you feel like?
John: Anything but French.
Episode 10 - "Fidelity"
- There's something funny about Volker and Case fighting each other using empty Glock 17s in a Russian roulette when both of them realize that the pistols they used weren't loaded.
