Fridge / The Patrick Star Show

Fridge Brilliance

  • In "Klopnodian Heritage Festival", when Patrick and Squidina do their Final Exam Finale, a man in a fly suit approaches Patrick. Patrick just punches him off stage, to the audience's dismay. This makes more sense once you remember that Patrick never got to practice the flyswatting tradition, only Squidina and Bunny did. He'd have no idea what to do in this situation, and was only acting out of impulse.
  • In "Mid-Season Finale", GrandPat agrees that the Patrick Show "really went downhill after the first three episodes". The fourth full episode of the series is "The Yard Sale", which revolved around GrandPat trying to prevent his family from selling his belongings. Of course he wouldn't have liked that one!
  • In "Enemies a la Mode", when Patrick refuses to do the show, Squidina resorts to trying to manipulate his body and impersonating him to continue it. Then she gives up and plays a pre-recorded segment that has nothing to do with the subject Patrick planned for the show. Later on, in "Host-a-Palooza", she's quick to keep the show going by putting on new hosts. It's likely that, after Patrick's refusal, she came up with a backup plan for what to do if he was unable to host the show again.
  • If GrandPat was still a kid in 1927, how did he manage to exist in times way before then, still as his usual old self? It's possible that he did grow up in the 1900s, and everything before that is just from Time Travel antics — Patrick's house does have a time closet, after all.
  • When Sockeye returns to Patrick's prison cell in "Patrick's Prison Pals", the Patrick Show is already playing on TV. It's possible that Patrick was watching it because he missed his family, even if he was having fun in prison.
  • In "Neptune's Ball", Lady Upturn comes up with a plan to hide inside Tinkle and get into the ball. "10 & 1 Toilets" would later indicate that toilet-themed fashion is high-class and Upturn herself even likes it, so going through with it might not be as humiliating as it may seem.
  • When we see Squidina's report card in "Home ECCH!", she has an A+ in most classes, but an A++ in history — likely because her house has a Time Machine in it!
  • "A Root Galoot" has Cecil swatting Patrick with a flyswatter and saying "Foinsapp!" However, in "Klopnodian Heritage Festival", Cecil didn't get to participate in the flyswatting tradition. "Tying the Klop-Knot" shows that he has been to Klopnod before and done their long wedding rituals, so it's possible "foinsapp" was one of those. He also could've been imitating Bunny, as she's shown to do it around the house in "The Wrath of Shmandor".

Fridge Horror

  • In "Nitwit Neighborhood News", Patrick and Squidina find their way into the hideout of a criminal, whom they think is a celebrity. The criminal has a guy tied up to a chair, with tape over his mouth so he can't speak. When the police arrive, they never enter the hideout, and instead arrest Patrick, Squidina, Perch, and Harvey, who have been framed. Considering the criminal got away, what's going to happen to his hostage? What if he just gets left alone and starves or suffocates?
