• Fridge Logic: Attempting to make the Clampetts look uninformed sometimes causes continuity errors. In S 01 E 07, Jed pushes the doorbell at a neighbor's house, yet in the 8th episode, he still has no idea what that "strange music" playing is, but every time it does someone comes to the door.
  • There is a hypothesis that Jed figured it out already and was asking Jethro to see if he had figured it out yet. Another is that he knew about doorbells, but did not know about musical doorbells so didn't realize the music he heard was his doorbell.
