Glass of Water - Forsaking the Background opens with a repurposed video from Manga Kamen of Luna seeing the Tantabus to make Lily appear instead with a monstrous grin on her face with the citizens' of Ponyville's reactions. It then cuts to Lily on her own set saying "I don't know what this is supposed to be a reference to, but I like it. RUN LUNA! I'M COMING TO DEVOUR YOUR SOUL!" The clip is in fact a reference to Attack on Titan, which features massive colossi that devour humans. A rather accurate Large Ham line for someone who claims to despise Japanese animation and comics.
Glass of Water - Down with Celestia: the title itself is a reference to the Down With Molestia, a minor Twitter/Tumblr campaign that Lily discussed in several older videos. Lily herself lampshades this, saying in the description "Anyone who catches the very unsubtle visuals will either laugh or lynch me."
