Fridge Brilliance

  • Sanae's need to play doctor to everyone, including strangers, despite being a sixteen year old girl suddenly makes more sense when you remember how she lost her parents in her flashback. Sanae wanted to save them from the crumbling building but was held back by two civilians who knew it woul lead to her dying as well. Sanae was denied the opportunity to save lives in the past - hence her desire to save more lives in the future, no matter what - she's fuelled by guilt for not being there for her parents when they needed it.
  • Kloppen's eventual turn to good makes sense in a way because he's the clone of Harlin, the Heliosian Big Good Friend to All Living Things Nice Guy Alien Prince. Those traits are embedded in his DNA.

Fridge Horror

  • Harlin is the way he is because he was humbled by his trumatic experiences and ordinary upbringing. If Harlin was raised on Helios and Zaal never invaded, would he turn out to be just another clone-abusing Heliosian monarch? Even Emperor Palmillion, who was seemingly a kind person, was implied to have known about the clones but didn't care for them.
  • Almost all of Emperor Palmillion' descendants look near identical to him, even the females such as the daughter of Harlin. It becomes disturbing when you realize the Heliosian Empire was built on the backs of abused clones, so Emperor Palmillion likely deliberately bred them to be like this.
  • Given how Catine and Judela reacted to Kento being a clone...who's to say that the Proxian Royal Family doesn't secretly harbour clones like Helios's did? Assuming that Proxia doesn't fall under the Galactic Republic Federation, there's a huge chance another Dolmen situation may be on their hands.
  • So clones were deliberately mistreated and wounded to be just like their originals. What happened if their originals were raped?
  • Imagine if Helios got their hands on things such as Boazanian technology. They'd freely keep slaves and abduct them from Earth, which means they'd no longer need clones, as they now have a never ending supply of fresh organs.
  • Assuming that Heliosian bodies function the same way as Earthern ones, Harlin inheriting Kloppen's organs could open up a whole slew of new problems. Donated organs are constantly attacked by the recepient's immune system, and in many cases, drugs are required to stabilize them. In the case of kidney transplants, the rejection meds slowly kill the kidney making follow-up donations necessary. Let's hope Earl foresaw this and invented something to ensure Harlin stays healthy...
