Season 1
- Mackenzie’s relationship with Dylan directly reflects that of her parents. Like her parents, she and Dylan have an on-again-off-again relationship, and the relationship is permanently ended after Mackenzie is revealed to have hooked up with someone while she and Dylan were on a break, much like her mother’s fling with Coach Rafferty put a stop on her parents pending reconciliation. It seems Mac is unknowingly repeating patterns she’s learned from her parents, either out of not knowing any differently or out of a subconscious desire to replicate the situation in a way that grants her the power note .
- Regardless of whether or not Christa was involved in the vandalism, it’s clear that she is angry at the school for covering up her report against Coach Rafferty, which might further explain why she is the first to call to question Mrs. Sharpiro’s integrity by revealing that her friend was coerced into lying that she knows another student cheated off of her by Mrs. Sharpiro. Likewise, if Christa was involved in the vandalism, giving the documentary more potential evidence to use to prove Dylan’s innocence could be yet another instance of Christa showing guilt.
- Christa Carlyle and Pat Micklewaite are shown to be the only two members of an enigmatic "Strategy Club." A Running Gag shows that Pat is quite the Kavorka Man, while class president Christa is strongly suspected to have executed an elaborate vengeance prank and gotten away with it. Those must be some potent strategies!
Season 2
- In season 2, we learn that chocolate-coated cat poop was placed in an advent calendar in the teacher's lounge, resulting in a teacher eating it. The "Hot Janitor" describes two puddles of vomit from two different teachers. One puddle is from the teacher who ate the poop and it's theorized that the other teacher in the room had a case of "sympathy vomit." It's later revealed that the second teacher was blackmailed into placing the poop in the calendar for his colleague to eat. His vomit could therefore either be sympathy vomit exacerbated by the fact that he knew exactly why the other teacher was puking, or Stress Vomit out of guilt for causing it.
- In season 1, Mr. Janson and his daughter are harassed by fans of the show to give Peter and Sam the "Kiefer Sutherland Tape". Understandably, Janson's daughter is angry at Peter for leading to them getting harassed, and destroys the tape. However imagine how much worse the harassment could have gotten now that the fans had reason to hate the Janson's after Janson's daughter destroyed the tape that could have gotten Dylan exonerated.
- Mr. Gisualdi isn't merely fired; his teaching license is revoked by the state. Gisualdi's conversations with "Brooke" are never revealed in the documentary, but it's implied that Gisualdi thought he was texting an underage girl. How long did a sexual predator have access to the students of St. Bernadette?
- Let's say Grayson hadn't been revealed as the Turd Burglar and no resolution was found. Setting Kevin aside for a second his catfish victims were Demarcus (soon to play college ball and apparently on the fast track to the NBA), Jenna (the daughter of a wealthy, powerful family) and Drew the theatre kid who's implied to be quite talented in his own right). There's a world where all three grow up to become famous adults. Grayson could have been able to blackmail them for years!
