Total Cousins Action
is a Total Drama fanfic by SideshowJazz1. Chris is worried that his second season will be a bust, with no new cast members. That's when his youngest cousin Antonia rings up. Chris asks her on the show, and Toni eagerly agrees. She may have the McLean smile, but she's got a strategy and is playing for one thing - the title. That is, if Cousin "Chrissy" can handle it...Total Drama Action revamped!
There is also a sequel in progress called Total Cousins World Tour where Toni no longer competes, but instead co-hosts with Chris due to her earlier popularity with viewers so that she can be a presence but not win.
The fanfic is a remake of the second season with a new contestant. Eliminations change, a few reward and elimination challenges are switched, and there are some new storylines.
This fanfic contains examples of:
- Accidental Adultery: Not real adultery, but Toni and Duncan kiss a few times, but only because they were given a scene where they were asked as actors to make out. They both try to convince themselves that Courtney won't hold it against them. She does. Crosses over with Mistaken for Cheating (see below).
- Action Girl: Toni, although she does end up losing a wrestling match with Courtney.
- And the Adventure Continues: Ends on this note to set up for the sequel Total Cousins World Tour.
Word of God says that the sequel wasn't planned as there was no way Toni would be allowed to compete twice, but ended up finding a way around that after people asked for a sequel. - Birds of a Feather: Courtney thinks that Duncan may be dating Toni partly due to that. However, their relationship is purely friendship.
- Clashing Cousins: The basis for Chris and Toni's relationship.
- Insufferable Genius: Harold often comes off as this, and boy does it annoy everyone.
- The Leader: Toni sees herself as this for the Screaming Gaffers. Somewhere between Levelheaded and Headstrong.
- Messy Hair: Toni constantly complains about the fact that no matter what she does to her hair, it tangles.
- Mistaken for Cheating: Courtney convinces herself that the makeout scene during the horror movie challenge between her boyfriend and Toni was real, and refuses to believe otherwise, even when every other contestant on the film lot tells her that Duncan and Toni never hooked up.
- Only Known by Their Nickname: After the first two or three chapters, the fact that Toni is short for Antonia never comes up.
- Pet the Dog: After the disaster movie challenge, Chris not only gives the winners chips and pop, but also red velvet cupcakes, remembering that they're Toni's favourite. She sincerely thanks him.
- Platonic Life-Partners:
- Toni and Duncan, much to Courtney's fury.
- Also implied to be Toni and her brother Aiden, who Duncan reminds her of.
- Strong Family Resemblance: Toni looks like a female teenage version of Chris, drawing particular attention to the McLean smile.
- Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: As team leader, Toni sometimes invokes this as she sees herself as team leader and that it's her duty to force Duncan to leave Harold alone and for Harold to stop showing off and pushing himself forward.
