Tangled With Ninja is a Crossover fanfic between Ninjago and Tangled, written by Iron117Prime.
Sensei Wu fears that an unspeakable villain will come and wreak havoc on the world, sending the Masters of Spinjitsu to the Kingdom of Corona, where they encounter Rapunzel and her allies. Unbeknownst to them, the ancient evil the Ninjago fought, the Overlord, is the true instigator of the chaos, and resurrects Mother Gothel with his power so he can obtain Rapuzel's power, said to "bring back what once was lost"; in this case his power.

This fic contains examples of:
- Big Bad: The Overlord.
- Crossover Power Acquisition: A bit Downplayed, but the Overlord travels to Corona to get the magic of Rapunzel's hair, allowing him to "gain back what once was mine". He does so, returning to his former glory but doesn't gain anything new with regards to the world of Tangled.
- Crossover Villain-in-Chief: The Overlord becomes the main antagonist after he resurrects Mother Gothel so he can gain Rapunzel's power to restore himself to his former glory. When Gothel attempts to go after Rapunzel on her own, the Overlord is less than happy and instills a huge amount of fear in her. Throughout the story, the Overlord keeps Gothel on a leash to the point that when he returns to his peak power level, he "leashes" the villainess to his own power, meaning that she will die when he dies. Which is what actually happens (only Kai was the one to land the killing blow).
- Death by Adaptation: The Captain of the Guard has a big role in Tangled: The Series as the father of one of the new main characters and a supporting character. In this story, after failing to get his revenge on Flynn Rider, he was unceremoniously killed off by the Overlord at the story because he felt that he would not be useful as a minion. Justifed because this story came out before the series, which expanded the Captain of the Guard's role and character.
- Hijacked by Ganon: The prologue assumes that a new force is coming to take on the ninjas, as well as the heroes of Corona. Later it's revealed to be The Overlord, who was defeated by the ninjas prior to the series and is seeking to get his revenge.
- Recurring Element:
- The Overlord serves as the primary Crossover Villain-in-Chief, but instead of taking out Gothel (since she's already dead prior to the story), he revives her and then uses her as his pawn..
- Mother Gothel is the minor villain but she starts out the story already defeated, and then gets defeated again by Skylar and Nya before finally being taken out by Kai.
