Stanford in the Isles
is a crossover between The Owl House and Gravity Falls, in which Stanford arrives in the Isles at the same time as Luz.
- Affectionate Nickname: "Sixer" for Ford, which he give Hooty permission to call him.
- Alternate Self: When Ford first hears King's voice, which sounds just like Bill's, he surmises that King might be an alternate version of Bill somehow.
- Commonality Connection: Although he doesn't say it, Ford clearly identifies a bit with the Conformatorium prisoners and the Owl House crew for being "abnormal" by the standards of their societies.
- Contrived Coincidence: Stanfords ends up in the Isles right at the same time as Luz, and meets Eda, who had a brief relationship with his twin brother.
- "Freaky Friday" Flip: In the canonical 'body swap' episode, Ford mentions his body-swapping carpet.
- Guilt by Association Gag: Ford lampshades how the guard trying to arrest him and Luz just for talking to Eda, someone who they didn't know was a criminal, is unfair. The guard doesn't listen.
- I Choose to Stay: After the Conformatorium breakout, Ford decides to stay in the Isles for a bit, in part because he wants a roof over his head for a while.
- Mistaken Identity: When Stanford introduces himself, Eda briefly mistakes him for his twin brother.
